Start off with only 527 numbers ...not 1000 each day.
.......also in this particular thread we were NOT using doubles in our repeats. We didn't think that was a good idea because it doesn't work. Using Single to Single ..... gives us better odds.. on average per the results.
For example : using the same time frame as WC up there we can see that it's not good to use doubles as the last draw. We use the last SINGLE number drawn ......as the last draw...regardless of how many doubles hit.

Engineer plays fortune cookie lottery numbers and wins the jackpot
Played numbers for 4 years before they hit big
To most of us, fortune cookies are just a charming detail at the end of a meal and their vague prophecies and snippets of folk wisdom are not to be taken seriously.
But to Danny Williams, the numbers printed on a slip inside one cookie seemed to promise a real fortune and his hunch came true as they won him a Lottery jackpot.
The 23-year-old engineer beat million-to-one odds to win a share of the top prize in the National Lottery.

A risky proposition worth taking...
Sounds a lot like the story of Stone Soup to me.
A small group of hungry troops without food are passing through a town that's been pretty much picked clean.
One of the officers stops and has the men setup a cooking pot over a fire.
The townspeople begin to come out to see if the troops have any food only to learn the officer has a plan to make Stone Soup.
Soup from stones, why it isn't possible, is it?
Never the less the troops bring the water to a slow boil while

$20M lawsuit against Hoosier Lottery gets class-action status
Judge lets others join $20M suit over defunct game
Lottery exaggerated number of prizes on its Web site
If you lost playing the Hoosier Lottery's Cash Blast scratch-off game two to three years ago, you could still come out a winner.
If you still have your ticket, that is.
A $20 million lawsuit accusing the lottery of overstating the number of available prizes was granted class-action status last week by a Marion Superior Court judge, opening the suit to anyone who purchased a Cash Bl

>> POWERBALL << Coming To Florida In Jan09
Well as for bringing money into the state Florida does quite well, and as far as I know Orlando is still the number one tourist destination in the world.
When the casino industry was getting into state after new state (which has stagnated now) they used the same kind of argument. What actually happened though was for all the promised monies coming into those states the reality was the boats were little money vacuums sucking the money up and sending it to Vegas and Atlantic City.
I think if

$85M sought for "defective" Virginia lottery tickets
Man sues Virginia Lottery for selling $85 million in defective scratch-off tickets
A lawsuit by Washington and Lee University professor Scott Hoover seeks reimbursement for purchasers of an estimated 26.5 million tickets over the past five years. He asserted that the tickets had no chance of winning the top prize promised on them.
John Fishwick, a Roanoke attorney for Hoover, on Monday released copies of a lawsuit filed in Richmond Circuit Court. It seeks an $85 million judgment and an inj

Why I think quick picks suck
CT,
We both assume many things, you say some uncollected jackpots are QP played, I say most uncollected jackpots are QP's, the only way to prove this is with actual statistics.
The lottery retailers don't make the rules the Lottery boards do that.
I've seen people spend $2000 on Qp's. I've heard of even more being spent on QP's at one time.
As far as the scanned tickets goes, you forgot to state: How many of the 5 digits matrix were on the QP?
answer: zero.
3 QP lines 15 number

Correlation btwn Lotto Players and Gambling in General
People go there because of the idea of winning 10,000 or whatever, but not because they love those games....
Millions of people play Powerball and Mega Millions because they have the chance to win millions but it's not the only game in town so people can play other games with smaller jackpots and smaller odds against them.
People that go to las Vegas are the people that like blackjack, and 21 and poker, etc...And they don't even offer war card or memory games and those are card games...

Any Lp member considering writing a book ? when and where ?
Yes, what happens in the hopper or lottery computer is random chaos.
Random chaos obeys the natural laws of the universe.
Probalistic gross distributions actually occur just as expected.
What's going to happen in a lottery (gross distributions) are known
(based on game size) before the first ball is drawn.
Most lottery systems are, in my opinion, totally bogus. However,
just as a broken clock has the correct time twice a day, sometimes they
win, this does not mea
