Do some number combinations have better odds?
No, it isn't.
That's called ignoring the reality of the difference between long term and short term.
Sure you can win in the short term, but you can't increase your odds. The difference between the two is that I can assure you you will lose in the long run. I cannot assure you you will lose in the short run, because short term variance can cause you to be on the winning side. That's not changing the odds (even in the short term) that's getting lucky within the odds.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Beating the odds was never the objective. If I can successfully eliminate 12 numbers on a SINGLE draw, I have fulfilled the objective of getting BETTER ODDS on that one single draw. This is not Boney rocket science.

I Don't Even Buy PA Tickets Anymore.
But think of the odds of that happening. I am better off quitting the way they have been than to waste so much money to get such a low odds win.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
You were right when you first said the chart with odds(1:2) of matching zero was for one line of 3,819,,816 but the chart change shows the odds of matching zero for 792 lines of 3,819,816 as 487:1 not 1:487. The 487:1 is for 792 lines which would be 487/792 or 1:1.626 or roughly 2:3

Lottery is unfair
The lottery was built to be unfair. It's called odds. But odds that a lot of people are trying to beat.

Lottery is unfair

The Numeric World Order
For games where you pick 3 numbers odds are quite favorable. So no formulas work, but the odds. By creating formulas one only does a lot of work, and when person wins, it's like getting payed for that job, while simply playing will do the same.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
You aren't using those words, but you certainly are implying it. At least, you are implying that your predictions somehow have a better chance of winning than randomly drawn numbers.
Tell me, what is the source of your mystical prediction powers? Do you REALLY think that super-ultra positive over optimisic thinking of your prediction abilities allows you to lower your odds to a quantifiable 1in 575757, or whatever you reduce the field to?
When you say You can hide behind the big

Mega Millions - No Winner, JP Stays At $12M
Some of the larger states have local games with larger jackpots and better odds. For example, Ohio has Classic Lotto with a jackpot of $24M/$12M cash with odds of 1:14M which is likely to take away from MegaMillions sales for a week of so until it's larger.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
No, because odds are different than results. Assuming the coin was fair, the odds of you getting 3 heads were 12.5%. Surely, that's possible and not abnormal.
