Anyone tried the new scratch offs in fla just released for Christmas ?
I've played about 20 $5 tickets and the most I've won is $5. Needless to say I absolutely hate these tickets, not to mention they have the worst odds of all tickets within their cost category. I did some research on the fla lottery website and it seems like the $5 tickets have the best odds relatively speaking.

Texas All or Nothing
Looks like we are on the same boat: playing conservatively. Does not always pay to play that way because the more combinations one plays the better the odds of hitting the winner. It does not always happen that way but your odds are better. Happy Chicken Dinner.....AL.

Idaho Raffle Changes
I see PowerBall differently than I do a raffle. The odds of winning the PowerBall top prize is sooo long that many of us play for the lower prizes. It's an ongoing game where you need to see a bit of money once in a while to keep going. I see the raffle as something much closer to a scratch off game. Limited time, limited number of tickets available, much better odds.

Who has better odds of hitting 3 of 5 ?
Thanks for helping me clear this up Stack........ mcginnin56 and I had a challenge on the predictions forum for one draw and I tried to explain to him that my 46 lines had much BETTER ODDS of hitting a 3 of 5 than did his smelly QP lines........ My cursory observations was that my odds were around 3 times BETTER...... The contention is still quite sharp as (after losing) he went on to post in his signature that QP ODDS ARE THE SAME AS SELF-PICK ODDS ........

Who has better odds of hitting 3 of 5 ?
Since your wheel is guaranteed to have 1 two number match and uses every number, your odds are 18 to 1 (3 chances out of 54). 46 QPs could have up to 460 three number combos so divide the number of possible three digit matches (27,720) by 460, The odds of 46 QPs having a three number match are about 60 to 1.

Are QPs randomly generated numbers?
What they should have said is that it will prevent duplicates as a result of flaws in the system. Ten tickets were printed with ten lines on each ticket and two of the ten tickets had ten identical combos. It was a real flaw and probably be unnoticed hadn't one player bought 100 tickets. If QP's are random we should expect duplicates in direct proportion to the odds of the game. Maybe, but after more than half of all the combos are sold, the odds favor one of those combos repeating.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Most everyone who picks a number and sticks with it hits within 15 -20 draws. Give it a try, and you will have cut your overall odds in half and given yourself BETTER ODDS.

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
I mostly play $5 games, with a mix of some $10 games too. Pretty much never play $1, $2 or $3 games. Actually, I like $5 Calif Black, one of my favorites. Even though the odds are not the greatest on paper, I'm getting about 73% back on that game, which is better than game odds of 70.4% total. No big wins, but got $100 a few times through several hundred tickets. Plus have the possibility of higher $250,000 top prize instead of $100,000 from the other $5 games. Any time you can beat game odds
