Your chances of winning a single draw aren't dependent on past draws. That is, just because you bought a 500 lottery tickets over 500 days, it doesn't mean your odds of winning increase. Say your odds of winning are 1:500. That means there's a 1:500 chance you'll win per drawing, it doesn't matter how many tickets for different drawings you've bought before or after. By Scruples.

If I was you, I'd stick with the California SuperLotto Plus. Mega Millions 13 mil jackpot is too small to justify 175.7 million to 1 odds. The SuperLotto Plus jackpot is at 8 mil and the odds are better. If you manage to win, you'll take home about 3.9 million after federal taxes. More than enough cash to live a comfortable lifestyle for a while in my opinion.

you are right that is why i laugh when people say the odds ar 1 in something. because in reality the lottery is not gambling we are. how do you put odds on gambling? its not possible if everything is REALLY random its bs

Have you already cashed these in? Did you have the losers scanned anyway to check? I sell the lotto in GA and have heard grumblings about the scratch offs that they cant go more than 3x what the odds are without a winner? so if the odds are 1:4 you have to have a winner within 12 tickets. I am sure most of you guys already do this but ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS check the tickets even if you think you have lost.

If there's anyone with enough hubris to believe they can beat those odds, it would be Ronnie. Then again, he seems to think frequency and odds are the same thing, so take that into account.

Stack, you are the ONLY person here who has ever suggested hitting 5 of 5 once every three draws, in your post you are quoting yourself.... once out of every three drawings The object here is to PREDICT winning numbers and do BETTER than the probably odds. Using similar logic, 5/39 games with odds of 1/575K would have starting jackpots of $275K and 6/49 games with odds of 1/14M would start at $6.5M and that's never going to happen. You can chose to wait until the jackpot is the size you want or never play, after all lotteries aren't for everybody.

But they are not one in the same. SOME NUMBER COMBINATIONS HAVE BETTER ODDS Because of predictability. The point everyone seems missing here is that a definable GROUP OF LINES is not the same as a SINGLE LINE whose odds are 1 in 3,904,701. Group odds are not level like single line odds. Which increases predictability to some degree. How much more predictability is the question I'm trying to answer?
