Strange Mega Millions Winning Results Last Night
It's obvious they felt that way but with PB odds of matching 5of5 being 1:5,006,386 and matching the PB being 1:39 and with MM odds of matching 5of5 being 1:3,819,816 and matching the MB being 1:46, I would think one might be surer about matching the bonus numbers in both cases.

Does anyone play their state lotteries any more?
I think you have the odds of winning are a bit off. The Ohio Lottery site shows the odds of winning the Jackpot for this game at 1 in $13,983,316.

Texas Cash 5 drawing machine
I play Cash 5 sporadically. The jackpots kinda suck for the odds of the game. I play P4 often for $5 straight. 10000 to 1 odds, no parimutuel.

20/20 Special Lotto Frenzy: Be Careful What You Wish For
Yes, Win$500Quick, the doubling the PB price was sheer greed. They may have to reset it to $1 again. They could have easily made the extra dollar count for a two bet minimum and left the odds alone, and still rake in huge profits. But that's the thing when money is too easy to come by - they get to feel there is always more that can be squeezed out of the suckers willing to face such steep odds. They figure we are not really expecting to win anyway.

Does anyone play their state lotteries any more?
I always play at least $5 on Hoosier Lotto. It's at $6.5M and the odds are 1 in 12,271,512. Way better than PB and MM. 14.5x easier to win. 1 in 12 million isn't exactly the best odds either, but considering all the numbers are chosen from the same pool, my system is more effective.

Bullseye!
I was reminded that I failed to include the break down of tickets sales in relation to the odds of winning since I discussed why the jackpot was won. Okay, odds of winning the PB are 1:175,223,510. right? Now, in just (2) days, I see where approximately 300,000,000 tickets, or so, were sold which excedes the amount sold overall on the last win. For every 175,223,510 tickets sold, there's supposedly a winner in that bulk...no guarantees. Less than that, and the odds are worse. Tickets sales exced

Does anyone play their state lotteries any more?
Now that MM has reset to $12M and PB is $2 a ticket, state lotteries with smaller jackpots and much better odds of winning may be worth looking at until the MM and PB jackpots build up to more attractive amounts. I know for the next week or so, I'll be looking at Ohio's Classic Lotto. Its jackpot is only $6.8M but the odds of winning it are 1:14M.

$640 MILLION: MEGA MANIA!
Ohh here's a little tip of optimism I have every time I throw down a few dollars on these odds. Those numbers on your ticket are in that Mega Millions container no matter what...$640 million on 6 balls that are in that little container. I guess it sounds a little better than 1:176 million odds. That may sound stupid and obvious but think about it and it makes you feel a little better haha.

$500 MILLION: Mega Millions sets all-time lottery jackpot record
Joining a lottery pool would increase my odds right? not increase my odds alot but still. And I don't mind sharing my money with people. Considering that I am broke now just 1 million would be fine with me, it would be more then I could ever make working.
