The number of tickets should fixed based on the published odds and winners for that game. Take your Red Hot 7's game for instance, you can tell by the top prize odds how many tickets they have. Odds 1 in 1,200,000 and 20 top prizes available = 24,000,000 total tickets for that game. I've never seen any scratcher tickets with book numbers starting below 100000, so with 80 tickets per book for a $5 game, you should see book numbers from 100000 to 399999.(tickets 000-079 for each book) I l

joker17 - Yes, you can only take the last draw instead of using two previous draws. When I backtested using the two previous draws offer more hits, of course the odds goes up. If it still hit straight with a few lesser than using two previous draws, then go for it, reduced odds is better always.

All games regardless of their odds of winning pay back 50% of sales in prizes so while some games have better odds for winning their top prize, their top prizes are smaller. If you look on the prediction board for the top life time winners percentages, they are similar for jackpot and pick3 game players. There are no real easy wins in any of the lottery games.

I'm not sure exactly how I feel about this. I wouldn't know for sure until it's actually implemented and we see for ourselves if changing the odds really does make a difference for the better. I get frustrated playing very cheap-to-play games with extremely terrible odds.

Maybe I ought to go away from Hot $100,000. Got 4 of them that lost today. Got $5, $2, and a free ticket on $2 tickets tonight, though. I got 3 wins on 6 total of $2 tickets. I see Mini Multiplier brought back the free ticket. Odds of $100 aren't too bad, but overall odds on $2 tickets never seem to go below 1 in 4.7. And 1 in 4.52 on a $5 is super low.

Its odds of winning the jackpot can be deceiving, it gives the illusion that winning a prize playing it is easier than winning one playing MM or PB but overall odds of winning a prizes playing those games are better. The closest I ever came to winning a jackpot was matching 5of6 in a similar game, Super Lotto(6/49+1) nine years ago, so I've been in the hunt ever since except during the year Ohio had Lot'O Play.

Overall odds seem worse a lot of times (especially for $10 and $20 games), but sometimes middle-range prize odds are better - though I don't see them enough. I have to limit my budget since it's been bad for so long - I'm sure you understand.
