Lets get a better understanding of what actually wins! Powerball
195 million to 1 odds. I don't think it makes any difference if you buy all QP's on one tick or 5 tics with one line each or whatever. You can try to cut the odds a little, but it still comes down to incredible luck.

Winning Lottery System
It's hard to even match the odds on the play slips. On the back of Ohio Classic Lotto play slips the overall odds of winning something are 1 in 54. There were a 175 OCL predictions on the prediction board tonight without even a 3of6 $2 winner.

What do you do to Increase your Odds of Winning?
Well, it really isn't a system if there' no causality. It doesn't matter what kind of frequency analysis, addition, subtraction or multiplying that you do, if there isn't a reason behind it then it's just arithmetic. Methods of covering odds such as wheels are just too rich for my blood as you wind up buying hundreds of tickets and most wheels involve selecting a subset of the numbers to cover often chosen by frequency statistics but the mechanics of the draw are such that the difference bet

Winning Lottery System
Once in a while you read about a group of Aussie investors who tried that over 10 years ago with the Virgina lottery when its odds of winning a jackpot were ~1:10M by taking over three SevenEleven stores terminals for three days and managing to print out 8-9 millions of the possible combinations and winning a $17M+ jackpot and smaller prizes but it hasn't been done since because after that lotteries changed their rules and odds to make it unlikely to happen again.

Only $5 million increase
Cross selling is likely to hurt either game when its jackpot is the lower one. Why would players buy tickets for the lower jackpot when they can buy tickets for a larger jackpot with similar odds for the same price? Unless a player figures his knowledge of one game gives him better odds of winning then he's probably going to buy some Quick Picks for the game with the larger jackpot.

Things that make you go HMMMMM
The reason for this is that Super Lotto has more tickets in play for a particular draw, hence even with longer odds, you get more winners. This is due to A. Super Lotto is far more popular than Fantasy 5, and B. Super Lotto is only twice a week, as opposed to daily. Hence, more winners in Super Lotto despite the odds. No conspiracy here.

What do you do to Increase your Odds of Winning?
That's a better way to put it. The original topic asks about increasing the odds of winning which is not possible. I was just stating the difference between odds and chance/ probability.

What do you do to Increase your Odds of Winning?
You can't with the lottery. Odds and chance are 2 different things. The jackpot odds are always 1 in X because there is only 1 winning combination.
