America's multi-state lottery titans agree to ticket-selling partnership
I think it's great, PowerBall is adding two more states to it's list so it brings it up to 34 states in Power Ball the odds suck. I have better odds in Mega Millions but have to drive to Illinois for a ticket. So with this change I can get my ticket right here at home and not have to drive to the state line to play Mega Millions. Finally a great idea.

Powerball coming to Maryland, Massachusetts
Right now the powerball odds are the same for every state that has powerball. If you mean will they change the matrix of the game to suite them, that remains to be seen. If they do then they will probably up the odds.

Looking For A Pick 3/4 System For Doubles
You might try this. In pick 3 when doubles are due, ( every 5 days or so ) you can play front pair or back pair. Many people don't like pairs, but if you think for minute you'll realize that odds are in your favor. If you track just doubles in your state you will see a definite pattern of front pair hits back pair hits and split pair hits. What I do is wait till lets say front pair hits are REALLY do and play them all for a dollar. ( $10 ) Then narow it down to all odds or all evens. ( $5 ). One

Florida Lotto Xtra - Good Idea?
It's going to replace the Lotto Plus feature which increases your jackpot, and nothing else, with something similar to the PowerPlay in Powerball. Only difference is it adds a new prize level too, a free ticket (with Xtra) if you match 2 out of 6. It starts October 11th. I think this a marked step up. The old feature required you to beat 1 in 23,000,000 odds before it would make any kind of benefit. The new feature is worth it if you only beat odds of 1 in 8, and if you beat the 1 in 67 cash

Lottomax
For $5 you always get 3 tickets, so you do not use the odds of playing 1 ticket (1 in 85M), you would use the odds of 3 chances out of 85M possibilities, or 1 in 28,633,528.

$1000 a week for life? So what
I could use $1000/week for life whether it be before taxes, after taxes, whatever. I'd rather play Lotto though considering the odds of getting 6/6 on Win For Life is 1:5,245,786. Simply not enough for those kind of odds.

Ohio Classic Lotto STILL going up!
I played 15 lines and couldn't even get a match3. It will be a while before I play it again, odds of 1:14M are just too much for a $500K cash prize. Rolling Cash5 when it reaches $300K+ with odds of 1:500K is a sooo.. much better deal.

$325 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot rolls again
I guess I'm stupid then. I thought the odds were based solely on the number of combinations in the matrix no matter how much a ticket cost. Granted, if you play a fixed dollar amount the change of price in tickets will change your overall odds of winning but still if you buy every single combination you will only have one chance of winning out of whatever the total combinations are.

For the pick 3 tool box
It is interesting, seeing as how, when all the permutations are listed separately, there are but 125 all highs, 125 all lows, 125 all odds and 125 all evens. 1 in 8 odds of hitting any one of these in any given draw. But the added seven percent won't be enough to tilt the payouts in your direction; if it holds true in most lotteries it'll simply raise the payout percentage from 50% to 64%.

Randomness?
There are formulas for figuring the odds of certain events happening like a match 2,3,4,5 and 6. If certain events happen a lot more or a lot less often than the odds would suggest you probably could say the events happening aren't totally random.
