I'll never win any Jackpot
I know someone at a convenience store I frequent that won a $77,000 jackpot buying one ticket. That's all it takes to win, one ticket. And it was a quickpick. She had never played the game, and maybe that was one reason she wasn't being so self-negative.
And odds? Odds are only good for discussion purposes with another individual. You can never escape the fact that even if the odds were a billion to one, someone is going to beat them and win the jackpot ! These jackpots are all guaranteed to

Running an office Powerball pool is discouraging
50 tickets is certainly better than 1 ticket, but it still doesn't make a dent in the odds of winning. You're odds are still 1 in 2,922,159. Good luck though.

Better odds??
It doesn't. The only thing that can affect YOUR odds are the number of tickets you buy. However, when the jackpot is lower, the odds of you sharing the jackpot is smaller since there are less people playing.

Which gives me a better chance of winning a lottery?
I don't remember the exact numbers or odds, but I've heard from many folks here that will say something to the effect....If you buy a hundred tickets, the odds go down from 27:35,000,000(or whatever)...to 4:12,000,000(or whatever)...things like that, which in mathematical expression might be true, however, it's misleading because after you purchase 100 tickets, there still remain 34,999,900 other combos left that have the chance of showing, yet 4:12,000,000 looks more appealing, but misleading.

Which gives me a better chance of winning a lottery?
In Raffle games they express odds as chances to win because they have multiple jackpots. If a state sells 500,000 raffle tickets and has four $1 million prizes, each ticket has 1 chance to win out of every 125,000 chances. In Mega Millions if you buy 100 tickets, you have 100 chances to win so out of every 1.75 million chances you have 1 chance. And it can be expressed as odds.
There are 3,904,701 combinations with the 56 white balls and if you bought all those combinations, the odds would 1

I want to ask a question about our national lottery
I doubt if the jackpots would be of similar sizes and odds of winning as the ones in the U.S. and sell for half the price as much of the goods we import from China. If however they offer similar payouts with similar odds of winning for half the price, maybe they would sell in the U.S.

new ten dollar scratch off
I took some time to look into that ticket and it seems ok to me. I don't really like the odds(1-3.3); however, you have the same odds of winning $20 as you do winning a free ticket... 1:10. Not bad in my opinion. Also, that's a really good top prize for a $10 game. A lot better than what you would find in Tennessee.

Hot and Cold, Up and Down ..and around we go...
Well, pick 5 has the best odds with a substantial payoff amount if successful. I play a couple of bucks with regular Lotto and Mega.....but the odds seem way too low. This seems like pure luck more so to me.

$50,000 in Michigan 11/25/07
Oh sorry geos*5666 but the odds are still 575,575 i think. Still worth a full jackpot win in my book. Odds are the same for half the credit? Great job sir. God bless and good luck.
