More state lotteries adding "win for life" games
I'm looking forward to giving Cash4Life a try. I'd probably still take the $7 million in cash over the top annuity prize but that is just me. I'd love to have to make the decision!

Phony Powerball tickets flood social media in wake of $1.6 billion jackpot
Why does a lottery spokesperson say 528 mil is not to be triffled with? That's the annuity of 1.584 bil 3 not the cash value of much less and not to menton the taxes taken out.

NC Powerball winner in trouble again
Jesus Christ, she keeps making me revise my estimates on her going broke. I am beginning to think she may have no money by the end of this year. I'm normally against the annuity but in this case I will make an exception, people like her shouldn't be handed a massive check like that coming from nothing, like handing a monkey a loaded gun.

Record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot won by 3 tickets
Wow so you were 1 white ball away from the jackpot? That would suck lol. 71 split would be no picnic either but a good amount. Or I guess plus the 3 others would be a 74 split for about $21,621,621 each before taxes on the full $1.6 billion annuity. Still would have been a great amount. Cash would be amount $13,000,000 each I think.

Record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot won by 3 tickets
Highest top cash value too of ~$371 million. The infamous drawing in which MUSL advertised $600 million annuity, but paid out less. I suspect MUSL was extra careful in their projections lately, because, while the FL incident isn't well known, some have noticed, and the media would have pounced on the issue.

Mark Cuban's Advice to Winner
I would never take an annuity because I don't trust the state of Florida to pay it out over the next 30 years. I'll take the money now.

Why Would Anyone In Their Right Mind Choose Annuity instead of Cash Payout for Powerball?
You'd file taxes on sold investments. Really not much difference from that perspective. My thoughts on taking cash over the annuity are, you'll get a better return in the same time frame if you compound a modest 10% return each year.

Why Would Anyone In Their Right Mind Choose Annuity instead of Cash Payout for Powerball?
I agree. National debt is over $19,000,000,000,000. Unsustainable, when things come crashing down does anyone really think the money will be there for annuity payments? The government will snatch-up that money so quick it'll make your head spin.

Why Would Anyone In Their Right Mind Choose Annuity instead of Cash Payout for Powerball?
It's no way I will take a annuity, I would found two or three special banks that can handle that amount of money. I would not truth the lottery/government with my money every year.

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
I like that last post. as to the annuity option. you cn practice ot messing up and if you blow it all you only have to wait a year to try again ad you get 29 more times till you really are broke. Also like the no one needs $1M
