Lottery pool
It would likely be illegal anyway to use real money, no? Instead of going into these pools, where you'll win less money than if you won alone but you have better odds, play your local State lottery with 10 times better odds for 1/10th the prize. You get what you pay for.

Lottery pool
I am not in Chicago area.
I like the idea of lottery pool. When MM or PB is higher than 100 million, assuming each member will be satisfied if his/her share is more than 2 million, then 50 members play togeter will increase the chance for every member by 50 fold. Assuming each player play 10 bucks each draw, the odds of winning jackpot is 1 in 300,000 (win 2 million each), much better than 1 in 15,000,000 if one plays alone (win 100 million).
The chance of wining match 5 will become 1 in

WI Million Dollar Draw
I was not going to buy a ticket, until I saw on the deadline day that they would only be able to sell about 70% of their 500,000 tickets. When I realized how much better that made the odds for a shot at a million bucks, I bought one, especially since it also makes the odds for the lower tier prizes better than any of the jp lotteries they are running. Normally, I would never buy a $10 ticket, not even a scratch-off.

$75M Texas Lotto jackpot claimed by business partnership
John Stanford Jr., president of Tremarcor LLC, purchased the single winning ticket
What ARE THE DAMN ODDS, the President of a Corporation (Ltd/LLC) will win the lottery...Deep inside for 1 year now i was praying deep inside of me for this to never happen...It just proves the corruption.....Of all the cases where i've been paranoid about, none come close to this one...What are the odds..It just proves that they are corrupted i don't care who says what...That president did it to beat the odd

W. Va. Cash25 predictions 04/27/07
I was checking today's West Virgina Cash 25 prediction. The overall odds of having a winning ticket are 1:8. and there are 350+ predictions so there should be 40+ winning predictions tonight. Since the odds are 1:69 of having a 4/6 I would expect five 4/6 winners too. I'll be checking back at 7:00 to see what happened. Good luck WV predictors

NJ Pick 4 & SPorts Cars vs Women
Odds of one digit correct is 1 in 10
Odds of two digits correct is 1 in 100
Odds of three digits correct is 1 in 1,000
Odds of four digits correct is 1 in 10,000
With that it mind:
If we can hit 3 digits in the Pick-4, then we should be able to Win the Pick-3! LOL!

Ky 3 line lottery 6/39
It's a Match 6 clone, I'm pretty sure of that. The jackpot odds on $2 play is 1 in 1,087,541. Not sure about the overall odds though.

If I reduce the MM or PB number pool by half and play 3o2e/3e2o...(?)
Actually the odds are not 50/50 that at least one number from the last drawing. It's actually lower than that. For example, in PowerBall, the odds that at least one white ball from the last drawing will appear in the next drawing would be 5/55, or 1/11.

Also, I didn't catch thiis the first time.
Go back and look at how you started this thread. You asked a question about probability that had a simple answer that you didn't know and couldn't figure out on your own.Simple probability allows us to very easily and precisely calculate the odds, but you asked what we thought the odds would be. Somebody who can't do such basic calculations on probability is not pretty versed in probability, regardless of what they may have known or studied in th

The vastness of the odds for a jackpot win...
Living ones life based on odds is boring! Besides, whoever reads the odds legalese on those playslips anyway...it's just the same as that fine print on all those credit card solicitations in my mailbox...who cares! All what is important is that number 1...everything after the in is there to keep the brainiacs from playing which allows other more needy (yes even JW was needy) folks to dream and play. I would say playing the lottery is a better habit than smoking and drinking...at least you h
