The vastness of the odds for a jackpot win...
Grreat point, and is why so many play lotto. Your odds of existing are at least 1 in 200 million or so, because in the average, er, uh, you know sperm deposit during the reproductive act there are like 200 million, with ONE succeeding, which became you in the given gestation, so you already beat near impossible odds rivaling Mega Millions or Powerball! LOL

Focusing On Winning The Lottery Is A Fruitless Event
Amen, that's how I do it also. Some folks spend $20 at the bar, at a baseball game, or whatever.... Some things come to mind: one said 'if I win the lottery I will buy my mom a new car', and it elaborated on spending $400 to fix her current car. Who's to say fixing her current car was not done anyway ? As far as dreaming on how we would allocate it: that is exactly what it is: a dream. But that does not mean it is the ONLY dream one has, I'd venture to say we all have dreams - some attai

Do you believe you'll win a large jackpot in your lifetime?
In order to keep playing the jackpot games you HAVE TO feel that there's a good chance you would win at some point. I've matched 5 of 5 one time at odds of 2x 1in500000 or such so it's not a huge step to 6 of 6. If you use decent algorithms it helps. If you only use QP then the odds are against you for sure.

A&E lottery show
The odds of any of the previous combinations coming up are exactly the same as the odds for any of the other combinations. For MM it's exactly 1 in 175,711,536 for each of the 175,711,536 combinations.

Little lotto and Lotto winning tickets sold at same store
The odds depend on how many tickets were sold for each lottery, the odds for each game and how many games the store has sold tickets for. If it's a busy store they may have sold 1000 or more tickets for each game for any given drawing.

Help Me Please!!
First off, never play more than you can afford. I usually play $5 per PowerBall drawing, but when it gets above $100M, I'll play $10 per drawing. That's what I can afford, and I keep control of myself. After that's taken care of, you can look into improving your odds of winning. There are lots of ways you can improve your odds of winning. Go to your state lottery website and look at past winning numbers and see if you can find any patterns between the results.

Pick 3: Low-Medium-High Boxed Digit & Pair Tracking
Yes, the probabilities are for boxed play as arranged in the low-medium-high format...including doubles and triples. The probabilies are based on the amount of straights though...as is any true probability for the game. Like when playing one of the no-match number boxed, the odds arent 1 in 120 just because there are 120 NM boxed numbers....the odds are 6 in 1000 or about 1 in 167 reduced (I'm sure you probably know this already). And yes, the core groups with the most combos always have the

Realities of winning the lottery
Are these figures based on each player randomly picking their own numbers with no effort to avoid duplicates or numbers that have already hit? If they are then that would suggest that a pool of people could increase their odds of winning with a strategy. Picking duplicates won't increase the odds of winning a jackpot and combinations of five or greater seldom repeat. Since all LP members are allowed to post at least 10 lines per game a group could test those theory on the prediction board and

Realities of winning the lottery
In your opening line, you note that The odds of winning the record $370+ million Mega Millions jackpot is greater than 170 million to one. To perhaps put it in better perspective, the amount of the pot doesn't really matter. One's odds of winning ANY MegaMillion jackpot will be in excess of 170 million to one. The only time anyone wants to face or admit that reality is when the jack pot is super-sized. The odds doesn't change just because of the size of the jackpot, only the value chang
