Changes in Mega Millions
Yeah, I highly doubt the players would want the overall odds of winning ANYTHING to be almost as horrible as Lotto Texas (overall odds of winning any prize in Lotto Texas are only 1 in 71).

Roulette
I found something even better than the one I posted before. Infact it's the best out there because he's the only one to show his earnings.
He asked the top five advertisers of Roulette on the internet to show him their winnings and he received no replies.
I will show you his statements without revealing his identity or product.
Here it is:
Finally, the first book that will truly show you how to make money consistently playing Roulette.

Mega Millions lottery jackpot won ... again
I do not dislike smaller jackpots. What I do dislike is facing 9-figure odds for 7-figure jackpots. For example, if Mega Millions was $12mil I wouldn't play, but if Pick-6 Lotto was $12mil I would probably buy $10 worth. It's all about the prize in proportion to the odds.

4 out of 5's
I think the odds in the 5/39 games are 1 in 85000 to pick a 4 out of 5. What are the odds in the other games?

Changes in Mega Millions
Lowering the odds with no price change isn't an option for them. Sales are already stagnant due to the string of low jackpots. Also sales always go up on large jackpots compared to lower jackpots. I think a small reduction in odds combined with a price increase might work but it's hard to say.

Odds 101
Well, had the thread gone as planned I was going to bring up things like if the betting public educated itself, AHEM, games like Caribbean Stud would not exist.
The ODDS against being dealt a Royal Flush are over 652,000 to one...yet people sit down at these games, bet on a hand they can't draw to, put an additional bet up towards the kackpot, and even if they win $100,000 they're getting shorted over $400,000. But even when the one renegade floorperson that will tell a player that a

MM's low sales
With Mega Millions' odds as long as they are, and the fact that no matter how long the odds are a game can still go on a hot streak, it's no wonder that MM isn't letting any more states join.

What is a 'Lottery System' Poll
Seems like 80%+ of the participants in this poll believe a lottery system must be capable of winning more money than it cost to play (kinda like being paid to pay). Since most lottery prizes are 10% or less of odds of the dollars spent:dollars won, a system must be capable of beating the odds by at least 1000% consistently. Anyone who designed such a system would have no reasons to be ashame if it won the jackpot more than once

The Tao Of The Lottery
Put a dollar-sign in front of the odds and billboard it as the jackpot size. Put a colon between the first and second digits of the cash value and call it the odds.

The Odds Are The Reality
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. 19 million tickets and the odds are still 1 million to one? Gimme a break. The odds would be about 1 in 10 for you to lose, not a million to one to win.
