How Many Members Are Psychic
Luck???? Are you sure?1. About 3 years ago, I played 984 with 6 straight tickets and won $3000.00 from a word of knowledge I received that told me to take out a chart from Steve Player, that layed dormant and untouched for about 4 months, gathering dust in my closet, till that day when something or someone led me to bring the chart out. Ask a mathemetician what the odds are.2. A couple of months ago, I received 3 red flags concerning 666. One of those flags was from a friend who just happened t

Breakfast buddies file suit over lottery ticket
Rick G writes: If there are 175 million combinations and you buy 55 tickets your odds of winning are 175 million MINUS 56 (including the winning ticket), not DIVIDED by 55; (that comes out to 174,999,944 to one, not 3,180,000 to one). Put another way, if there are 175 million combinations and you buy 0 tickets your odds of winning are 175 million MINUS 1 (including the winning ticket), not DIVIDED by 0; (that comes out to 174,999,999 to one, not infinity to one or impossible).

Which scratchers do you play?
If you're going to play a $10 ticket go for the Jumbo Jumbo Bucks! The odds of winning are 1:2.5 and top prize is $500,000 cash. The odds to $200 Million Spec are 1:3.3. I really love the Jumbo Jumbo tickets... And Giant Jumbo for that matter.

Lotto South breaks a record.
It starting to be worth buying a ticket. Odds are 1 in 14 million or so....it is 6 of 49 right? Jackpot cash option should be worth more than the odds now. Brad

Single Digit Pick 5 and Pick 6 Games
Why aren't there Pick 5 Pick 6 games that have single digits like Pick 3 games? I think it would be an attractive money maker for the lotteries, taking 100,000:1 odds and paying out $50,000 as well as 1,000,000:1 odds and paying $500,000? I would probably play them if they were offered.

There's nothing statistically significant about the first time, because they simply had the ticket with the numbers that happened to get picked. Somebody was

Same Lotto Numbers Come Up Sat and Sun
This goes to show that anything can and will happen in the world of mathematics/gambling. About 12 years ago a couple hit the Pick 6 twice in a six month period in my county...what are the odds of that happening? At the time I'd guess about the odds were 8 million to one on the Pick Six in my State. Math wizards got any answers?

Same Lotto Numbers Come Up Sat and Sun
It very much depends on how you look at it. The odds of a particular set of three numbers 1-8-9 repeating twice are 1 in 1 million. However the odds of any two numbers repeating are one in 1 thousand.I saw the problem the first way, but I understand that the second way is probably the way the whole thing was intended.Seen more appropriately, in the second way, there is a 50% probability that this event (2 different drawings repeating) will occur every 693 days. This is the ratio of ln(0.5)/ln

Same Lotto Numbers Come Up Sat and Sun
From the article University of Central Oklahoma mathematician Larry Lucas says that on any given day, the odds of choosing the correct three numbers in the order drawn is one in 1,000. Those who select the numbers in order get a cash prize of $500. That takes a mathematician ??? Wonder if they could find the odds in pick 4 ??? ez
