New Potential PowerPlay Payouts
Now that the lower tier payouts are recieving a little more money, the potential overall payouts have jumped, even though your chance of hitting a 5x has been doubled in odds. 2x - 50% (Unchanged) 3x - 59.85% (up from 58.67%, +1.18) 4x - 69.71% (up from 67.33%, +2.38) 5x - 79.57% (up from 75.99%, +3.58)So with the jump in odds, and the jump in payouts, PowerPlay isn't any better or worse than it was.

farewell old PB matrix...
Farewell to the old matrix of 5/53+1/42, the 100000 5+0 prize, and the 120.6 million to 1 odds of PB. Hello to the new matrix of 5/55+1/42, the 200000 5+0 prize, and 146.2 million to 1 odds of PB. As I said, I have all the statistics of PB hypersoniq, but I agree with your recommendations. If I was living in a PB state away from family, I choose QPs.

Mega Millions lottery jackpot increases to $97 million
Last night I got another chance to play MM and I went early just in case I had to find another place to play. I played 25 lines and matched 3+0 and 0+1 for $9. I'm not coming out ahead money wise, but I'm ahead of the odds and you have to beat the odds to win.RJOh

Jackpot Prizes
This question came to me because it always seems here in MI, that the lottery never, and I mean NEVER, decides to put more than 4 top prizes in any new scratch game. Even the 2nd prizes are almost non-existent. Usually, if you look at the odds (which of course they don't make available online), the odds for hitting the top prize OR the 2nd prize are almost always the same - usually around 1 in 1,700,000 for BOTH first and second prizes.

Smash the MM odds...it is easy!
Hey, as long as we're dreaming, why not say we have four whiteballs and the mega-ball...then all we'd need is that combination with the other 52 whiteballs...so for $52, we can reduce our odds to one in 689,065. So for a $52 ticket, you can win it all with the odds of 1 in 689,065!....not bad!And believe me, if I thought we knew we had four regular numbers the mega-ball, I'd play the 52 other combinations.

lotto integra xp??
You can have all the winning numbers of a 6/49 games in 9 lines but the odds are 1:14M that they will be on the same line with a 9 line wheel that guarantees you will match 1 six times if you don't do better on one the lines. If you want better odds of having 3 or more numbers in the same line, you'll need a bigger wheel which cost more money so the cost of the wheel does matter.

California & Mega Millions
Will the odds revert if CA is dropped? Think not. They were an excuse to increase the odds, now we have to liove with them. Might as well use CA to increase the dollars.

pick 4 wheel
8 digits in 7 lines guarantees one line with at least three correct digits when all different digits are drawn. Odds of winning when you have all the winning digits among your 8 digits and 3 are already on a line takes the odds down to 1 in 5. To play, exchange my pointer numbers for your picks.1 3 4 51 3 6 81 4 5 82 3 7 82 4 6 72 5 6 73 5 6 8BobP

Smash the MM odds...it is easy!
Think,If you play to win the MegaMillions jackpot then your odds are 1:175,711,536 per ticket regardless of the number of tickets you buy. There are 175,711,536 possible combinations and 4,405,086 of them will win something from $2 to the jackpot so that leaves 171,306,450 combinations that will win nothing at all. That's a little different than your figures.RJOhP.S. If you really believe you have an edge to smash the MM odds so easily, good luck to you.

Smash the MM odds...it is easy!
If you buy one MM ticket, your odds of matching 5of5 is 1:3,819,816. If you buy 46 tickets your odds are 1:83,039 if they aren't the same combination.
