Boney said I say that no betting system outperforms the house edge. and if the pick-3 house edge is calculated as the difference between the odds against winning and the payoff odds, the house edge is about 50%. I'm assuming that means over time or a large number of pick-3 wagers and 338,339 is a large amount of wagers. If the house edge is 50%, a 73.72% win ratio does outperform the house edge. My contention is the house edge is what the house should expect to win over a long period of time

Lottery Bible...Two Odd One Even
Hello to all and thanks for taking the time to view this. I'm new to the nos. game in all its forms and lately I've been indulging in the Pick 3. I saw your post in the Texas thread. Lets say you work out that you want to play the two hottest numbers and the second from coldest to make three numbers. Look to see if your numbers are in the numbers that are posted in the thread and play them. Lets say you work out that two numbers from the previous game are going to repeat as a pair, like 4-9. Make your ten pairs, 4-9-1, 4-9-2, 4-9-3 etc. and then look to see if any of them are in the numbers posted in the thread and play them. Use whatever

Another way to look it is that for each position you are making a decision either S or M you can think of that as a coin flip. Each decision leaves you with 5 numbers at each position. So if you were correct in all of your decisions you would have 5*5*5 = 125 combos to guarantee a win. Since their are 8 ways to arrange S and M into 3 positions you would have 125 * 8. The only reason why I did not pick more numbers is because the tickets are $2.00 each. I did win $2.00 on this ticket, and with a little more money I could have hit the top prize.
