I know this is an old post but Im gonna reply to it anyways, maybe there are others who dont yet grasp why the percentage of doubles in boxed form is so much higher than the percentage of the doubles in straight form.They key to understanding the odds and frequencies of Pick 3 is to relize that no matter how you play (straight or boxed) there is ALWAYS 1000 possible outcomes for each game. I spend $1.00. Maybe $2.00 when the jackpot gets really high. I think I may have spent $3.00 when the jackpot was over 300 million. With the odds at 120 million to 1, even 1000 tickets doesn't raise your odds very much.

Justin, You are so right. Sometimes the overdue numbers can drive me up a wall. Each number has the same odds of hitting each night not matter how long it has been.However, I do feel the odds do start to favor a past due number. They can wear you out playing them sometimes until they hit. fla726

PA's Holiday Instant Games.
Did anyone else look at the holiday instant games PA is offering? The $20 game doesn't give out a prize on every ticket. The top prize is pretty nice for all of the games, but still, if a $20 ticket is meant to be a gift to someone, then it should be a guarenteed winner. The odds are 1 in 3.44. Isn't that usually the odds of winning on a $5 or $10 game?

So we have the choices of:All Highs and all Lows and or2 Highs and 1 low and or2 Lows and 1 High.And also:3 Odds and or 3 Evens and or2 Odds and 1 Even and or2 Evens and 1 Odd.As you can see the High-Low and the Even-Odd are your greatest filters of them all.But you can also use other filters to reduce the nuimbers some more and or you can do similar or the same prediction technique with any other of the many other filters out there of which I have so very many of them.Any questions?

I see that the cash winfall was good for everyone in Mass. Not bad getting paid 2000 on 800 to one odds and like 140k on 39k to one odds. Just a shame you gotta wait so long for the rollover.

Wisconsin Scratcher Payouts
I am looking for people from other states to tell me the payouts on your $1 scratchers and the odds of the high top prizes. this would be much appreciated, i think we may be getting screwedwe have a scratcher with a $100 grand prize and 1:48,000 odds, sure it wins $1 1:6 but who buys these things to win what they paid WHAT A DUMB IDEA.the highest prize I've seen here on a scratcher was $800 and i believe most states are in the thousands............god i hate wisconsin sometimes

To explain a little more: Trance hit 4 out of 5 in the first attempt, beating the odds 10 times. Rationally, he is OK now for next 9 draws. He wanted to hit 4 and he did it in 10 times less then definite 3000-something lines. Also, RJOh did it too, with his quick picks. Evidently, beating the odds is not that easy but so far they did it.
