EXCLUSIVE: Weeks-long computerized draw error prevented many DC Lottery tickets from winning a prize
I have a bit of sympathy about that response that players were getting from the lottery, mainly because the lotteries all get accused by angry gamblers daily of being rigged. So the handful of messages they might have received as a result of this drawing error were likely dwarfed by the daily onslaught of similar messages that do not have a shred of proof. You really can't expect a customer service rep to sort all that out, and the result is a canned response, because most of the time what they

Powerball
Yesterday I saw something at a local supermarket's customer service counter that caught my eye.
It was a PowerBall ticket lying underneath a big sheet of clear plastic that was covering some scratch off tickets. Someone had placed a small piece of paper beside the ticket with handwritten words that said Please buy me along with an arrow pointing at the ticket.
The total cost of the ticket was $390. I know it was an advance play ticket because it had a date range of a few days ago out to

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
Omg. He posted less than 24 hours ago that his son worked for Morgan Stanley and now, to cover his error, is giving an excessively detailed story as to why he does not work there 24 hours later.
People who are pathological liars tend to give excessive and unneeded details. None of this passes the straight face test.

The FACT is that if the lottery (and all the other lotteries that previously made this same mistake) had used traditional ball drawings, this error would never have happened.
I believe this is why two months down the life we don't have a second prize Millionaire For Life winner when we are having them on both PB and MM frequently.

I think it goes without saying that this is a failure for the industry, and specifically for SmartPlay.
The reason is that this specific error has happened so many times before, so not only the fact that their systems are allowing these kind of simple mistakes over the course of many years, but the fact that they do not have any monitoring software running that continually examines drawing results for easily-detectable patterns that should be investigated.
Why does SmartPlay not have AI

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I have it, just haven't worked on it much.
I've been more focused on PB MM... lots of data to check, double check, error correct and format.
