Interesting Facts re: PB & Mega
I agree with Jake649. Its a no brainer, Powerball is the better bet. The second place prizes and odds, they both stink. Your better off spending a buck on your local state pick 5 game.Example, Pa Cash 5 with a starting jackpot of 100K and odds of 575,757 looks good compared to the two big jackpot games.Chas

Predictions - Are You Serious ?
I use various methods of research to define the odds of probability for the future drawings. All the different methods used are for decision making. My pick 4 all states selections are based on the higher odds of probabilty from past results of those number combinations. There are 720 pick 4 combinations which I have reduced down to about 200 combinations.

Ohio 6/49
Mr Steel,Where are you playing Ohio649 that pays $100 for a 3 of 6? Officially, you only get a free play for a 3 of 6 and you need a 4 of 6 to get $100. The overall odds of having a ticket with 3 or more winning numbers is 1:54, so where ever you're playing they are paying ~2:1 odds (that's unbelievable). Good luck to you.RJOh

Question.
Whether you play the same set of numbers for a certain number of draws or play a different set of numbers for the same number of draws, the odds are the same. The odds change, if you play the same set of numbers for the same draw.Good luck,Jake

something wrong with lottosync v1.6 ?
Paul,A full wheel would be 210 lines, so you are saying he was hoping to reduce the odds to 1:4200 with 20 tries which is still expecting a lot. I think it was have been more realistic to expect to reduce the odds such that smaller prizes would be won more often if not a jackpot prize.RJOh

Quote: Originally posted by paul762 on April 13, 2004predicting a jackpot in 10/20 tries was what guru said he was one day hoping to achieve. The odds of predicting a jackpot for a 6/49 game are 1:13,983,816, to do it in 20 tries with a 35 lines wheel would be reducing the odds to 1:700, does that some like a realistic hope?RJOh

Whats optimal strategy in lottery invest
What ever you feel comfortable with. The majority of my lottery budget goes to the Pa Cash5 5/39 game. Much lower odds and effective wheels reduce those odds even lower.Powerball: I play $1.00 per drawing until it rolls over the 200 million mark then I up the ante to $2.00Pa Match 6 I wait for a rollover of 1.5 million then play $2.00 (one play). If it gets above 2 million I'll kickin 4 bucks.Play responsibly and have fun, Chas

Pa Match 6 Results & Comments
A large chunk of my lottery budget goes to the Pa. Cash 5 game. Much lower odds, and effective wheels reduce those odds even lower.Powerball: I play $1.00 per drawing till it rolls over 200 million then I up the ante to $2.00.My new strategy for Match 6, wait till a rollover of 1.5 million then play $2.00. If it gets above 2 million I'll kickin 4 bucks. THATS IT !! I'll never play 20 bucks again on this turkey.Play responsibly and have fun. Chas
