powerball odds 2
Actually when you play Powerball, you are playing 2 lotteries, one is 1:42 and the other is 1:2,869,685. Playing all 42 powerballs gives you 42:42 or 1:1 odds of picking the the right power ball and 42:2,869,685 of picking the right combination of five, but the odds of picking both the right powerball and the right combination of five together is 42:120,526,770 or 1:2,869,685.RJOh

Best way to predict numbers
Quote: Originally posted by prob987 on April 09, 2004Anyone who wins the lottery beats extraordinary odds. The ratio of numbers of people who win by quick picks and number of people who win by picking their own numbers is probably (I have no data) slightly higher than you would expect from the ratio of quick pick tickets bought to the number of people who pick their own numbers. This is because many people who pick their own numbers do a poor job of expanding the covered field size. This is beca

200 stolen tickets produce $11 in prizes and an arrest
I wonder if those scratch-off tickets has 1:100 odds printed on the back? The ones I've seen have 1:5 odds printed on the back. Carlisha probably thought she was going to win more than she stole, she would have been a loser even if she paid. Now she's a loser and a criminal.RJOh

ILTS System
I'm not familiar with the ILTS system but I believe any good system playing can help increase your odds to winning the big jackpot. I developed a small software that teaches you how to play systems well and increase your odds. Good luck.

MM Megaplier
With PowerBall odds of 1:2,939,677 of winning $100,000 and MegaMillions odds of 1:2,649,920 of winning $175,000, having a multiplier might not be as profitable for the MegaMillions game as the PowerBall game. I suspect most of the other states are watching Texas to see their results after a year. If Texas can show a nice profit after a year, I would think most of the other states will follow with some conditions or cap on the payout.RJOh

Ill Little Lotto
Gutgnt,I agree with you, they have sacrificed the 4 of 5 payout to accommodate the 2 of 5 and 3 of 5 payouts. BUT the bottom line tonight is that you have 575,000 to 1 odds of winning 1.5 million.I wasn't going to play, but have found myself doing so. My lottery agent says sales have vastly improved with the changes. And there's usually only one winner...but with tonight's jackpot I would expect a few winners to be sharing that prize since it's three times more than the odds.

Lottery Odds Reduction
I've been able to further reduce the odds down to 1 in 301,662 if the sum of all 6 numbers is odd (50% chance). I will try my best to reduce it to a maximum of 1 in 100,000 and share the formula with everyone. With a 1 in 100,000 chance of winning, everyone will dventually be a winner in one day. I just hope I can further reduce the high odds of actually winning the jackpot.

Lottery Odds Reduction
Personally if I lived in the state of Florida I'd be spending the majority of my lottery budget on Fantasy 5. 1/36 game with one to 376,992 odds. Capture 50%-75% of the total numbers in a good wheeling system and you have taken the odds down to a level where you'll have a darn good chance at claiming that $100,00 prize.Good luckPlay responsibly and have fun, Chas

odds ?
Here is one for you math experts.Would it be better to play 12 numbers twice a week, 24 numbers once a week. 96 numbers every 2 weeks, or 192 numbers once every four weeks? Same amount of money invested, I am looking at the larger one as so many more numbers are covered.
