Lottery odds
This guy also has an odds page for calculating pick 3 and pick 4 lotteries. Says the odds for pick 4 are 1 Million to one.Too bad there is no e-mail address listed. What a dope.

What a program needs to be good ...
You can prove that you can narrow down the odds... at least narrowing down the odds is better then using quick picks.. or chance..

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
well its also based on how many roll overs take place but on large 200 mil jackpots i think the odds of 2 or more winners is actually pretty high - i'd say like 40-60% on a 240 mil jackpot.i personally don't think megamillions will break 200 and can't explain fully why one game (powerball) can repeatedly break 200 mil while mega with worse odds can't even break 180

Jack Whittaker
The ODDS dictate that someone will HIT a jackpot if the odds are 22 million to 1, if 22 million tickets are sold then there's going to be a WINNER.Even if 11 million tickets were sold there could still be a WINNERSo your RIGHT VISIONDUDE it wasn't LUCK it was RANDOM CHANCE and by him purchasing 100 tickets he INCREASED his CHANCES of WINNING and WON!!!!!

Powerball and Mega Millions Merge
Hell no!!!!!The odds of winning in each game are already EXTREMELY unfair to players. So forget a merge...but if some little lotto better odds babies are born from each game, I could live with that... :-)

Blue Knight Pick 5 System
Did you make enough to pay for 1431 lines. In Buckeye5 the odds of a match 2 for $1 is 1:9 and the odds of a match 3 for $10 is 1:88 so one would expect over a 100 tickets of $1 and $10, mostly $1 with even a RNG if one bought 1431 tickets. Good luck on your win.

Scratch off Odds?
I amend what I said. Scratch off's have better odds at smaller prizes, but there's a point where the higher end amount on a scratch ticket has worse odds than a draw ticket. Although that's not only the case. (e.g.-Pa's Win for Life scratch vs. Powerball)

TC,When trying to calculate odds for a specific pick across all states, how would you do it? I know one straight pick in a state is 1/1000, but if there are 48 drawings, I don't think it becomes 48/1000, because there is the possibility that different states can have the same numbers come up. How would you calculate the odds?
