Post your scratch ticket results
PA Tickets have become a joke. If you don't buy tickets from the first 1-2 thousand books you will struggle to find winners. I played some of the new $30 tickets and have done half decent. Bought 6-7 tickets with 2 $100 winners and 3 $50's. Again all from low number books. As soon as the books get into the 20K range the tickets go cold. Also take notice of the odds that creep up each time a new game is released.
$3MM Extreme Green had an overall odds of winning at 1:2.76.

$470 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot rolls again
A $2 ticket is currently worth $1.12
Not even close. After losing 36% to federal income tax that $265 million cash value becomes $170 million. The odds of 1 in 302 million means it would take (as an average) $604 million worth of tickets to get that $170 million after federal tax net. That's an expectation value just a hair over 28 cents. If you don't have to pay state income tax, too. Based on the currently projected sales there's less than a 12% chance of a winner, but a single winner is

Quick Picks
You know that people are allowed to choose their own numbers, right? Whatever disadvantages there may be to playing QP's it's entirely voluntary. Personally I'd be happier of QP's didn't exist. When people choose their own numbers they tend to avoid a lot of the possible combinations. That increases the chances of a rollover for a lot of drawings, and reduces the chances that I'd have to share a jackpot if I should be lucky enough to win.
If you know the last combo wont repeat

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Well they fixed that small error on the $1M prize odds and looking at this game makes me confused as to what the lottery was thinking so here was my view on 100X to the Florida Lottery,
Dear Florida Lottery,
The new 30th Anniversary 100X game costs $30 a ticket. You have posted odds of hitting $500 as 1304:1 meaning on average it takes $39,120 to hit $500.00. Nice Job, morons. The old 100X from a few years back cost $25 and offered much better odds for the player yet this game is $5 more

Auditor general finds no fault with Pa. Lottery, but unusual wins remain unexplained
so no one but her had access to those tickets from that store.
It wasn't directly about preventing anyone else from buying tickets for the game from that store. Buying all of the available tickets was about getting lots and lots of the undistributed tickets sent to that store in the hopes that the unclaimed prize that she thought was available would be in one of the packages that was sent to the store. I've got no idea how fast the tickets were selling in general, but let's figure 1000 per

Any reason why this forum is shrinking?
I have my old scratching ways. For instance if I see a brand new book I like to get the first ticket. If it has something I think the whole book has something better than usual. I'll give an example, I bought #50 from a $10 game with odds of 1:3.95. #50 had a $10 winner on it. Bought the whole book. I got 13 winners in the book which means the odds for that book were 1:3.84. Slightly better. They usually give half back, a litte under or a little over. I got $365 back. There was one $100 winner i

lottery prediction systems, why do people spend so much time with them
Exactly right, you would have to play 924 combinations to completely cover all possible combinations of 12 numbers to 100% guarantee a jackpot were all 12 winning numbers to fall among the 12 in play.
I am sure that's the way the lottery would love for us to play. However, what we're doing is limiting what the lottery can win from us (six plays) while leaving the door open for anything to happen. After all the six lines do guarantee us a 4 number win, it could be argued having four numbers

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
@ MrGray - I hear you. I think holding off until the Monopoly games is the best thing to do. They haven't changed any of the posted odds, making me think that they are accurate. We'll see on Tuesday. If the odds for the $20 ticket remain, it will be the only scratchoff game I'll be playing. I'm done touching 50X The Cash, and 200MS as well. I find it interesting that the $20 Flamingo has treated you well considering how horrible the odds are to hit anything over $100 on that game. The new $20 Mo

Florida's ridiculous ball and machine testing scam
I'm not a lottery employee, but these pre-drawing test either have an effect on the official drawing or they don't; which is it?
If the same digit is selected three times during the five draws, and Let's say 7 happens, then the probability it will repeat is 1/100 or 1% since there is only one way the 7 can repeat as 7 7; there are 99 other ways it does not.
Wow!!!
I'm assuming same digit means exactly that and when one of the 10 digits is selected three times in five draws, more tests

Indiana Lottery is a farce!
The odds of that (three identical draws in a row) are in 1 million, despite a Youtube video where someone incorrectly calculates the odds and breathlessly compares it to the odds of winning at Powerball. Just goes to show the depth of misunderstanding of probabilities.
Which were similar to the odds that you would win $50k in Powerball, something people spend a lot of money on trying to win prizes that are even more improbable to win.
BTW, there are currently about 70 Pick-3 drawings a da
