Actually, I didn't include doubles because they have a way of popping up when you don't want them to. So, they need to be taken more seriously. Still, you can include them in the list. Btw, your analogies are really good. However, your basic strategy is flawed. So, let's see why this is. How are scratcher odds not true odds? I understand that that $500 winner isn't in each pack, but that's only because the packs are exponentially smaller then the required average sample size for the winner to be in. Unless I'm really misunderstanding here, they print the odds based upon how many of each winning ticket gets printed for each total print run of a particular scratch card game. What are the odds of the next play coming up with one of those numbers?... Odds are at play, in such a situation. Iffy odds. Change the question. Is it time for another double? Really it doesn't matter. But, for the next time a double comes along .....which type double should we play? Odds wise.... what is the smart play ? Looks like Cash King is slightly better than Maximum Fortune, but thats about it. Not in any hurry to play that ticket. I do like that theres a $30 winner. That makes me more inclined to buy that ticket considering that if I buy 3, I could at least win my money back. Ok, I have a question on the charts posted by JADELottery ... tell me if I am seeing or figuring these numbers and odds correctly. With PowerPlay it seems pretty clear ... there are a total of 10 numbers in the digital mix with only one 5 and one 4 ... three 3s and five 2s for a total of 10 numbers. @Oh438 - the thing is ... if variance is the difference between what is to be expected and what actually occurs ... then with variance in mind , every number is to be expected which means we would be playing numbers based on a wish and a prayer... but the more testing, practice, and tracking pair, digits, patterns , etc .... one is able to predict certain events, whether its pairs, sums, digits, etc ... so what most of us do on a daily basis is use that knowledge and understanding of the game
