Mega millions odds
This might be a silly question but Mega millions has published odds of 12,607,306 without the bonus ball
I keep coming up with 12,103,014
What am I missing?

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
Choose games with better odds:
Some lottery games have better odds of winning than others. Research the odds of different games before you decide which one to play.
Buy more tickets: The more tickets you buy, the greater your chances of winning.
Number crunching or Number wheeling . The idea is that certain numbers are more likely to be drawn than others, and by identifying and selecting these hot numbers, a player can increase their chances of winning.

Reduce the odds math; go0 go he is 40 and she is 10.

Of course not all combinations are played every drawing, but when the winniing combinarion is played it ws up against the same exact kackpot odds as every other combination was. Reducing the odds by playing more tickets is a myth which makes ticket sellers and systems sellers a lot of $$

I agree, good example.
And using that example, some here are saying that the odds of winning in that example would be 1 in 18, because they think you just subtract the number of tickets you purchase from the overall odds. (Which obviously is not the case.)
The odds can be expressed as either 2 in 20 or 1 in 10.

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
Just to show you how often all odd's or all evens is drawn, there have been five times in 2022 (out of 262 drawings) where all odds were drawn and 4 times when all evens were drawn.
It makes the most sense to play 3 odd/2 even or 2 odd/3 even.
I went heavy on the odds today, but I doubt 5 odds will be drawn tonight. G5

$366.7 million Powerball jackpot won in Vermont
they still don't know if it was QP or picked numbers.
How can they not know? It's not really important in the scheme of things, but the ticket record will have all of the details about the ticket, and I'm pretty sure they don't just do a database search to see if a ticket has the winning numbers and then announce that VT sold a winner without checking the specific ticket record.
As for VT selling its first winner, they've sold an average of about 23,000 tickets over the last 5 drawings.

Texas Lottery releases country's first-ever $100 scratch-off
I'll probably buy a pack. kind of annoyed right now, bought two packs of 1838 and won only the guaranteed amount. I've bought bunches of those packs over last couple years and not one has yielded more than the guaranteed amount. sucker that I am, keep buying it. ugh. I posted in the scratch offs forum about this ticket a couple weeks ago. I am waiting to see if a winner comes forth anytime soon so i can eliminate some pack ranges but I have a feeling it's going to be a slow pace on it, it's horr

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Yeah for sure if the $30 FRM can't be found (best game out there for $1M) then the $20 Gold Rush Limited isn't a bad 2nd choice but at all, but in the end even when adjusted for price point it edges out the $20 GRL by a little margin.
The $20 GRL though really shines for $5M though...compared to the $50 500X odds of 1 in 21,419,145 for $25M, everything else being equal, at the $20 GRL $5M odds of 1 in 2,362,500 someone has better odds of winning it 5 times for $25M than a single equivalent $

Last night $32m Canada Lotto 649 draw
That's a bit of statistical stretch trying to reduce 14M combinations to just 924 and hope you will have a winner sitting there. That's about 1 in 15K tries. I'm afraid you will not live long enough to see this happen. And how do you ensure that further filtering from 924 does not filter out the winner? Totally unrealistic to say the least, fantasy logic. There are much better methodologies than that and by employing wheels they do significantly reduce the odds - and that's the main benefit of w

Reducing odds
Thanks Stack. While I didn't know how to figure those odds (math isn't my strongest suit) that is another trick I picked up from Lotto-Logix.
I figured my eliminating the previous 6 numbers drawn it would reduce the odds (conditionally of course).
BTW, today at work the rep from Tx Lottery came in and we chatted a few minutes. I told him I thought the odds for our lotto game was rather steep for the payout, in other words the jackpot should start out higher. He just nodded and grinned a l
