Oldghost is correct about the exact calculation of the numbers. For example, the $200MS is due for a top prize every 25,000 rolls (1,500,000 odds divided by 60 tickets to a roll). However, in order to avoid predictability, the lottery does two things: The rolls are sequentially numbered but not all roll numbers are used. That is why the $200MS print run goes to 557,000+ rolls despite the fact that only 509,756 rolls were printed. As a side note, they printed an extra 9,756 rolls for the $200

My story: Been playing MegaMil for 7 months, always close but no big wins
Odds of winning the Powerball jackpot: 292 Million to 1 Odds of winning Mega millions jackpot: 259 Million to 1 Odds of winning Pick 3: 1000 to 1 Find the Illinois game that has only 3 numbers (Pick 3) or 4 (Pick 4) and play that if you don't mind the smaller payouts (they pay a couple hundred to a couple thousand for the biggest payout).

I am curious about the odds on that $20 ticket also. Keep in mind, we're running on the assumption that these pages are final and it's not just a template they have in there for them at the moment - which is possible. As for the odds on the $20 ticket, when the FLRules paper shows up we'll be able to figure out what percentage of money being brought in is being paid out and that should answer your question. We went through this some months ago and someone confirmed that they typically pay out

Post your scratch ticket results
Tickets go through waves of hot and cold rolls, for sure. Zebekyia has posted his theories and observations about this happening in lotteries across the country. I got absolutely wrecked on $25 tickets today in FL. I hit $150 on a $5 ticket, $50 twice on two $5 tickets, and $40 on a $5 ticket (all posted on the Florida Lottery thread). None of that meant anything after I bought about 16 $25 tickets (from two different rolls) and found maybe 2 winners of $25 each. These are some ridiculou

Mega Millions ponderously reaches $280 million
the odds deter them from buying more You hit the nail on the head. I agree that the odds are a major deterrent keeping folks from parting with their hard earned money. Many simply wait until the jackpot gets larger not because a base jackpot of either $15 or $40 million isn't enough but the long odds just don't make economic sense to play each and every draw. This is just another reason why so many gravitate toward the pick 3 or 4 games as they have a much greater chance of success.

Oh!! BTW I forgot to mention we'll be driving thru Pennsylvania where I'm gonna stop today and buy 7 Millionaire Raffle tickets. Those are for the pool I run at work. These tickets are 20 bucks a pop, but the odds are 1 in 125,000 to win a million bucks. I've already bought a couple for myself, and The Mrs G5 surprised me with one a couple of weeks ago. The drawing doesn't go off until July 9th, and ticket sales have been running at 2,000 per day since they started selling them in early M

I agree the new $10 crossword has excellent odds. There's also a $100k prize that's 1 in 840k, with the $1 million prize also being at very good odds. Considering you can buy two $10 tickets for every $20, it arguably offers the best odds of hitting a top prize. I think of and when I play, this new ticket will be my focus game. I'm going to play the new crossword game. I wish you the best of luck with your book. Is there a new $5 ticket? I see new $1 and $2 tickets.

If I had more disposable income, the ones I would alternate between are a long list. Essentially anything with a large amount of prizes left. I wouldn't touch something as old as LFL (6 years old) and minimal prizes left except maybe once in a while. The end date on that I think is just a pre-inserted date that they won't end up sticking to, but just a guess. I also wouldn't touch a lot of the ones a lot of people in here seem to like to play like 200MS or especially not Super Millions - 1 grand
