I had to go back a quite way to find the above post, but there's something in the latest issue of Lotto Stats with regard to Cash 4 Life's number 42 being the last undrawn number in that game that everyone should know.
Here's a direct quote from Lotto Stats;
Now, a CASH4LIFE update. There have been a total of 79 Cash4LIfe drawings thru 3/16/15. Number 42 has yet to be drawn as a winning number. If you play C4L, be sure to include Number 42 in every game you play. If you do, your odds of w

Lucky for Life
The jackpot ($1K/day $5.75 million cash value) odds is a whopping 1 in ~30 million. And the second prize ($25K/year $390K cash value) odds is 1 in ~1.8 million. It's 16 times more likely to win 2nd prize verses jackpot, and yet relatively few have even hit that. No wonder big winners are few and far between. Lucky For Life is a terrible value. There are better choices.
The similar game Cash 4 Life, while not all that great either, is somewhat better in regards to odds and payouts.

Grandpa's Odds 1/90
Do you ever really think about your odds in Pick 4? We try not to but they're still there. I'm amazed sometimes that anyone can win at this game. But it happens.
Let's see if we can make it happen with just 90 little numbers.
Put your request in for 9 triplets. Good Luck!!

Now that both PB and MM have ~$40M jackpots
Odds of matching PB 5 of 5 are 1:$10.3M spent
Odds of matching MM 5 of 5 are 1:$18.5M spent
PB may have better odds of matching 5 of 5 but they are only twice as good when you consider the price of the tickets. That's probably why PB is planning to change its matrix next month.

A discussion of the math, probability and theories of the the Lottery
Hi RL
I agree with you about the filters. My observation has been that whenever I notice a pattern its already run its course and it never shows again. The only pattern is that there is no pattern so how do you base a filter on that? I try to build my guesses around odds and probability. i.e. sequential numbers. For MM, 12345 and the like only compose 71 combinations out of the 275 million possibilities. Thats a very small percentage so i don't play them. It doesn't mean it cant or wont happe

Another how do I calculate these odds?
Assuming 1 ticket purchased, the probability of winning at least that much is simply the sum of the probability of winning $5 million and the probability of winning $2 million. 1/6000000 + 1/6000000 = 1/3000000. This is because you can win $5 million and still meet the criteria for winning at least $2 million.
It would be the same if there were a hundred different prizes. Simply add the probability of winning each of the tiers that meet your criteria (remember, the lottery calculates the odds

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
Hi LottoMetro,
Glad to hear the change will not go into effect until July of this year. I was re-reading these posts and if I play at all after the change will just stick to the 2 dollar ticket once in a while and will not do the Power Up. When I play the PB or even MM (very rarely play MM anymore), I have always played in hopes of winning 2nd place, since the jackpot odds are so astronomical. Right now I always spend the extra dollar for the Powerplay in hopes of winning the 2 million (minus

$450 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot nears record
The chances of it rolling once again i guess would depend on the amount of tickets sold for the drawing. The last drawing tickets sales totaled about 146 mill so that would be about 73 mill combinations played. Since the odds are around 175 mill to 1 then if i am figuring this right that would come out to about 42% of the combinations were played. I am sure ticket sales will be higher for this coming drawing. If ticket sales for this drawing were say 250 mill that would be 125 mill combinations

Georgia Lottery Scratch Offs
Wow they actually brought out another $30 ticket. They must have made good money on it last year. The odds on it are worse, but the odds are better to win $500 on the new one.
$10 Lady Luck 7 looks terrible! Why are they bringing out $10 tickets with odds like this? With that being said I'm sure I'll try it once or twice like I did Cash King lol.
The $2 Taxes Paid and $5 Taxes Paid tickets seem fine. I'll definitely try the $5 Taxes Paid soon.
