Will we ever see a double win?
I CAN imagine what the odds are. This thread is proof positive of how uninformed the majority of the public is regarding the astronomical odds against them winning. I wonder what the odds are in the uninformed masses getting a clue in my lifetime. I'd estimate it would be in the hundreds of trillions. Suckers !

Would you play Euromillions if it was available in the US?
I just wonder what do you think about Euromillions? I think it is more balanced than Powerball. The odds of winning the jackpot is 1 in 116 million the odds of winning the second prize is about 1 in 6 million Overall Odds is 1 in 13

Sweet Million Vs Cash4Life Odds
I also agree with House Edge about Sweet Million vs. Cash 4 Life. Also, since we are discussing per dollar odds, the per dollar odds for New York Lotto are actually 1.93 times better than Cash 4 Life. New York Lotto's odds are 1 out of 22,528,737. Cash 4 Life, like House Edge said, is 1 out of 43,692,096. And New York Lotto lets you receive money over 26 years, whereas Cash 4 Life guarantees only 20 years. Plus, the New York Lotto jackpot rolls over whenever nobody wins, unlike Cash 4 Life

Sweet Million Vs Cash4Life Odds
Your one of many other players who can't compare odds. You say why would New Yorkers play Sweet Million when that same dollar gets you a chance at a minimum of $15 million (Mega Millions) or TWO chances at a minimum of $2 million (Lotto)? Well you say $15 million im guessing you mean jackpot after its reset. Wow have you seen the odds on the new Mega Million game 1: 258,890,850. Your odds of winning Sweet Million is 67 times better than winning Mega Millions Jackpot. And New York Lotto have the

The new odds for Mega Millions have been a failure!
Game enhancements include larger and faster-growing jackpots, better overall odds That's mostly true, but it's not exactly a promise. The changes are better overall odds and a chance to win $1 million for a buck though with terrible odds. The best bet is probably using the Megaplier.

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Don't know if anyone's posted odds for $10 Wheel of Fortune. Retailer kind enough to give me the June Product Plan brochure. Took a pic of the odds. Disappointed over the 2,400,000 to 1 odds for GP. Seems to high for a $10 game. Probably will take a pass on this one. Does anyone play these games for something other than the GP? Payback is listed at 73%.

Scratch-Off Tickets bought by the pack/roll
I am no statistician or math guru and never won more than $1000 on a scratchoff. However I can not figure out how one and done vs buying a roll vs any other method I see talked about in here is any better. Seems to me its all blind luck unless you know everything that was played off of any given roll and know exactly how many prizes are available at that given second. The odds are very much against us no matter what we do. I have bought several rolls over the years and never even broke even. I h

Scratch-Off Tickets bought by the pack/roll
I don't like buying rolls either. Here's how I look at it, using our $20 payout schedule and odds as an example. Our $20 game comes in packs of 30, so it's $600. Generally speaking, the only way to profit from rolls is to find a $500 or higher winner in the pack. The odds are 1 in 420 to hit the $500 which is 1 in 14 packs. So, with this game, I see my odds at profiting from a roll to be about 1 in 14. With this game, in a typical book, you'll see one $100, one or two $50, one $25, four $2

New multi-state lottery game coming to NY, NJ
I'm glad New York didn't join New England's Lucky for Life now that I've learned about Cash for Life. New England L4L carries 41 million to 1 odds to win $7,000 a week for life. Cash for Life has odds 20 million to 1 LOWER for the exact same prize. Also L4L has a second place prize of $25,000 per year for life. The new game in New York pays $52,000 per year for life for second place, but New England's odds to win 2nd place are far lower than Cash for Life. Don't know why that would be, bu

Added feature to Inpsector
This afternoon I added a new feature to both Inspector 3 and Inspector 4 that calculates the odds that you would win if you played all the combinations entered. The odds are calculated based on playing both straight and box, and the number of unique combinations for both straight and box are displayed. The new calculations appear at the bottom of the report after you click the Inspect Combinations button. So this new feature can be used to answer the question, If I played this list of numb
