30 dollar scratch tx in MA tempting me when I've been doing so well on my budget
Hi EdG1955,
I agree that the odds are terrible to win the 15 million since there are only 4 of those prizes. Though there are 36 one million dollar prizes ( still bad odds of winning). Most of the scratch ticket jackpots have lousy odds of winning based on the ticket run of a game and the fact that there are 7,800 retailers in mass selling lottery tickets. I was thinking today that I could buy 30 days worth of Mass Cash at a dollar per ticket in comparision to buying one 30 dollar scratch tic

Why is the Ohio Classic Lotto so difficult to win?
Why? Kinda like I said before, low sales and bad luck.
There's only around $200-300K sales per draw, probably more like $300-400K now. That's half of what Ohioans spend on MM/PB even when the OCL JP is higher. That low sales only gives a few percent chance of a winner each draw. So the JP can continue rolling for a long time.
But at $42M per year, there has been more than $84M in total accumulated sales for OCL in this run, that's 6 times the odds. That's an unusual occurrence, as most lot

Powerball Power Play Number Almost Always 2 ?
right now, based on the estimated odds, it appears the stated odds are bogus; or at least the odds for the x2 power play.
You can choose to believe me or not, but statistically speaking there is nothing unusual or bogus about the current frequency of Power Play numbers.
The expected number of appearances for #2 is 12, and although there have been 16, it still isn't a big enough difference to be significant. It would have to show up for the next 4 consecutive drawings before it will be cons

Post your scratch ticket results
Tried talking myself out of buying anymore of these new Super Million tickets because I havn't won more than a couple $30 tix from over 30 bought since they came out last month - but I caved in today after checking the odds against other $20 dollar tickets - these SM tix have great odds winning over $750 dollar prizes - so out I go and buy another 30 tickets - LOL - the best i got today were the two small ones posted below - nothing to write home about - plus I got another couple hundred worth i

Why can't you have fun playing the lottery without having to believe you can Beat The Odds? Those of us who accept the fact that the lottery is a Random Process but still enjoy dreaming about what we'd do if we won, really don't understand you.
1) You can't beat the Odds because it is a mathamatical formula based on the number of balls in the game. You can only improve your chances of winning which is not the same as the odds of winning.
2) The Lottery is not a True Random Process.
3)

I'm new to this site
Warm welcone. My experience is you win some and you lose some and no you don't winsum lol. Had to say it winsum ( sone will understand my humor). i play jackpot games and some weeks. Miss only 1 to 2 balls. Other weeks I miss them all I get very frustrated and in my mind I say I quit but keep driving forward looking for that win. You have to have some type system and track the positions in a daily basis if you want to win. Some folks use pen and paper while others use excel or other software. I

Georgia Lottery Scratch Offs
The store where I won $1000 on the $30 ticket had 3 $1000 winners. The tickets out right now are pretty lame if you ask me. I'd play the Jumbo Jumbo Bucks tickets if I could find them. Lucky Loot is bad! Great odds, but I can't find any winners above $30. Hopefully we get a good $10 ticket soon. Maximum Fortune is ok because of the great odds to win $100, but that ticket is all or nothing, and I'd rather a $10 ticket similar to Georgia Lottery Premium odds wise.
I'd be up for some diffe

New player looking for tips and/or suggestions.
Never really played any lotto games but I work in a store that sells lotto. Despite living in a state where lotto is not all that popular, I became interested in learning about the different games in order to answer customers questions. After looking at the odds and payouts of all the the lotto game (powerball, state lotto, scratch tickets, ect.) I started playing Pick 3 quick picks. The randomness is fun, but the great odds with fair payouts won me over. The game seems to me like slot machine m

California lottery ticket wins $425 million Powerball jackpot
Right on Maringoman...I was beginning to think i was the only one that found the $40MIL prize just as beautiful.
I just had a crazy idea....imagine if all lotteries had something like a progressive increase of odds: that is, with each draw the odds reduced/increased. So at $40MIL the odds would be something like 1:70,000,000. and by the time it got to $500MIL its like 1:350,000,000. hahahhaa, that would be some funny stuff. I wonder if it could work? Of course to make things work that way, wh
