Odds of winning.
The real odds for any lottery game is the number of tickets you buy before you win. Statical odds of 1 in a billion don't mean much to the person that wins on their first play. The odds never helped me win anything. RL

Why would MM risk losing people/money with new matrix?
Go run a poll of people buying tickets. Ask them if they know how much the odds will change with the new matrix. Almost all won't know and very few will care. The main reason? You have to beat really high odds already, so there's really not much of a difference. A majority just don't care about the odds and instead look at how much the jackpot is. Personally I'll still play, granted I do only play $1 per draw, so it really isn't much.

Even Smaller Odds Help Little
I developed method for playing Cash 3, where I reduce number group to 120 ( out of 1000) combinations, and then I can farther reduce it to about 45-60 combinations. They have to be played Straight , 6 ways. Even when I have such small group to pick combinations from, it is absolutely possible to miss the target, thus waisting money to the point when even winning $80.00 will not cover the expences. The winning combination, say, will be inside this group of combinations most of the time, but not n

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
I've looked at all even or odd strategy and like any strategy if you're using it when those conditions happens then it's good but for a game like Ohio's Classic Lotto all even has only happened twelve time in 1028 drawings and when it happened the odds of playing all six winning numbers were 1:177,100 and your overall odds of even getting anything that paid were only 1:8. If you plan on playing every drawing, then your strategy has to be for conditions that exits a little more often. Even wh

Can't Touch this... da dit dit da...
I have to agree WinD, Odds never change but cycles do. I only participated because I think I can beat the odds, as slight as it may be for me to accomplish this feat that is why I participated. So, Even though I didn't actually start until after 3:00pm I just used the box's for both midday/evening, only having hit (11) times therefore not being able to beat the odds yesterday. I'll keep a running log of what happened everyday.. Saturday 6/22 - 11 hits. Sunday 6/23 - 10 hits.

Lottery Code has already been broken
I would normally write that it's amazing to me how many people don't know the math behind it, or do, but ignore it cause it just gets in the way. Fortunately for me, now when I start writing it, I remind myself to stop. After all these years I'm not surprised anymore. It's the norm. The more I talk about the odds to people, It's more and more convincing to me that the ignorance is the ruling factor. High hopes and unrealistic expectations, ONCE YOU REALIZE THE INSURMOUNTABLE ODDS YOU NEED TO

Georgia: 5/1 - 5/31/2013
How many times has Georgia Midday gone past 4 doubles in a row in a year? Odds on doubles are low at any rate .......but 5 in a row is like betting on Trips to hit ......only less payoff. It doesn't mean it's wrong .......it just means it's a really bad bet odds wise. If you are in the game long term ......and understand the ODDs.....it is a bad bet today.

Mega Millions multi-state lottery to get harder to win in Oct.
I will wait and see what the prize structure looks like but with 18 million to 1 odds for second prize I doubt they will have a big enough prize for me to consider it worth the bother. I will probably wait until the Jackpot is over $650,000,000 before I buy a ticket. Consider the second prize odds about what a 6/51 jackpot game would be. For 6/51 odds second prize had better be a $25,000,000 annuity.
