is anyone making an income from lottery
if a bettor KNEW the outcome in advance, their bet would not be conditional?
Good one Stack..................
Conditional bets don't guarantee better odds, they just give us a CHANCE at BETTER ODDS on that one specific bet. On the night the PB jackpot was $587.5 million I had posted a set of 39 numbers that turned out (by chance) to hold the winning 5 numbers. Anyone could have used that list, on that single day and had odds of hitting 5 of 5 @ 575757 to 1 INSTEAD of 5,153,632 to 1.

Hot Lotto Changes
snip Besides the changes others have mentioned in this post it's interesting to note that the overall odds of the game are barely changing despite the addition of the extra white balls.
Maybe the overall odds are barely changing, but the JP odds are changing from 1:10,939,383 to 1:29,144,841 ... which means that it will be three times harder to win the JP ... that's kinda a big deal !!!
I'll give the new matrix a try. Depending on how well I do with the smaller prizes, I may have to find

$1M NJ Powerball ticket to expire May 17
I'd say it's hard to determine.... but the odds are def. good enough that I'm gonna go ahead and look for sure. Heck the way I see it, the odds of it being in a dresser or one of my mom's old purses is far higher than the odds of me winning, if only b/c we know it's from the store she gets tickets from on occasion...
It would be really helpful to know how many lines were on the winning ticket, b/c my mom always buys a specific number of lines...
FYI I usually stop by to take a lo

Which denomination of scratch tickets rewards the most winners?
It might not seem that way, but you actually beat the odds!
3 out of 10 hits is 1-in-3.33 which is better than game odds of 1-in-3.48 for $10 LFL.
And $10 LFL only has a very poor 56% return, unless you win the top prize. So your 60% return also beat the odds.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Any MM ticket has 2.5% chance of winning something and a 99% chance that something will be $10 or less so realistically the only way to justify playing is to ignore the odds and play for the jackpot. We can't win a jackpot without matching the bonus number and by playing all 46 bonus numbers we're guaranteeing 1 chance out of 3,904,701 chances. The only way to increase that 1 chance is by using a bonus number multiple times. The choice is between having 1 chance out of 46 of winning the jackpot

6/49 14 Million Combinations narrowed down to 500 -8000 combinations -Its possible!
Interesting. I wonder how many lines I'd have to play. Also, if applied to the Florida Fantasy Five game with about 376,000 to 1 odds, my esimate would be a reduction down to about 13 to 216 odds to win. I based this by dividing 14 million into 376,000 and got about 37. So the Florida Five is about 37 times easier. I then also divided 500 into 37 parts, and that's how i got the number 13. Dividing 8,000 into 37 parts got me 216.
Hmmmm, could you do Pick 3? By using the setimation of 1000 to 1

Do some number combinations have better odds?
If you are going to play the lottery then forget the odds. Those players who live by the odds also loose
by the odds.
There is only one reason to calculate the odds for the lottery or any game of chance and it's the gaming
industry that banks on them. They design the games so that there will be many more losers than winners.
The upside is that the player has a chance of winning big with very little investment and the odds don't really
matter, we buy a chance or chances n

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Thanks maringoman, one of my first ideas for getting BETTER ODDS was to play the same number combinations over and over instead of using a moving target such as QPs.....
Even if the odds improve by 1/3,904,701th, its still BETTER ODDS than the draw before.
Not to metion all the Positive Energy Flow generated by each person playing the numbers.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Very interesting indeed because in 8 of the last 9 drawings any QP line that used any one of those numbers had no chance of matching five numbers.
Has MM turned to PB drawing tactics?
It's just the ordinary causative factors in random drawings when a trend or a streak occurs. There is a 61.5% probability that none of the previous numbers will be drawn making streaks likely and reducing the odds of matching five numbers to 2,349,060 to 1. They keep telling us some number combinations can'

Do some number combinations have better odds?
The only person talking in circles is you boney......
We understand that we are talking about a concept. It is NOT something that you can calculate on a piece of paper with a pencil. We are NOT talking about changing the actually odds of the game itself. I think LottoBoner said it best with the phrase expecting something to happen I like to like of it as manufacturing a win much like the Yankee's when they decide do things in a creative and different way in order to manufacture a run that oth
