Iowa lottery offering receipts
Players who buy lottery or scratch tickets in Iowa now can receive a receipt, a move designed to enhance players' security.
The receipt system is the second phase of the Iowa Lottery's enhanced player security program. The program began in March.
Receipts will be available for every instant-scratch or lottery ticket that is checked or cashed. Two receipts will be printed one for the retailer, and one for the player.
The receipts were offered for the first time starting yesterday.

Lottery Winnings & Security
LottoMike in a new topic posted today talked about what people saw happening in the Lotteries in the next 5 years. I talked about the first half billion dollar jackpot. If that were the case, I would hire top notch security for me and my family. What caused me to think in terms of secuirty was what happened to a BILLIONAIRE in San Diego last week. See below. Makes you think. If I won anything above $50,000,000 I would hire full time security detail. What are your thoughts LP Members.

Maryland Lottery a case study in the science of random numbers
The Maryland Lottery provides a good example of why true lottery ball machines are much better than a computerized drawing for choosing lottery numbers. This is the super-secret lottery vault. It's 90 minutes before Tuesday's lunchtime picks, and Patrick Morton, the 35-year-old drawing manager for the Maryland State Lottery Agency, is only half joking as he hovers over a small keypad deep inside the studios of WJZ-TV.Beside the keypad is a large metal door - locked, alarmed, monitored by camera.

Missouri Goes To Computer Generated Draws
Here is the reply I received from the Missouri lottery, they pretty much repeat the press release to justify their actions as if I hadn't read it. Please take a minute to visit http://www.molottery.state.mo.us/ and use the contact form to let them know these fake drawings are not wanted by real lottery players. BobPDear Randy: (Yup, even got my name wrong.)Thank you for your concerns and comments, I am sorry you feel sostrongly about the computerized drawings. I would like to take thisopportu

The local TV star who rigged the lottery
The Daily Number game, since renamed the Pick 3, now features a security process involving 24-hour video surveillance, RFID-chip-equipped balls, independent auditors, and no less than 6 drawing officials. It brought in $269 million in revenue for the state of Pennsylvania in 2018.
Pretty tight security they have now, as do all other states to prevent tampering from ever happening again.
So with all this security, why do they need to do pretests?
This is what the Maryland Lottery goes t

Judge rules $560M Powerball lottery winner can stay anonymous
Ha Ha, she screwed anyway. I admire she did the all the right things, hired a big attorney whose wife is a US Senator and I'm guessing money went the judge's way, the problem is too many people know who she is anyway and by letting this story get so big she gives people and the media incentive to find out who she is. First of all the store owner and whoever sold her the ticket knows who she is, people at the lottery know who she is, we already know what town she is from so she has to have friend
