Predictions - Are You Serious ?
When thinking about the probability reduction in buying two powerball tickets, consider the case of two sets of two tickets, one having ten different numbers and one having nine different numbers, meaning that both tickets share one number. (I am ignoring the powerball)At the moment just before the first white ball is drawn you will have in the non-repeating set, a probability of 10 in 53 of having one number in either ticket. In the second set, sharing one number, you will have a probability

Would you tell or not?
Hello openminded, my name is BOB and am glad to meet you. As for how much I had won is a matter of public record down at the lotto office where you file your claims. I had won twice. The jackpot at the times of the drawing were 200,000 dollars each time. The first time I had won was in november a couple of years ago and I had to split the pot with one other person as he/she had also gotten all 5 numbers. The second time I won was 5 months later and I was the only one to get all 5 numbers that da

Question
Hey folks. I'm Todd from Ohio. Just discovered this forum recently and was delighted to see lottery enthusiasts other than myself. Been playing since I was in my late teens,I'm 26 now. I've hit the Pick 3 on four different occasions. Twice boxed, twice straight. So I guess if I never win anything ever again,I'm still pretty lucky. Right now in the midst of trying to nail the Pick 4 and the Buckeye 5 (5/37 game). Not easy I tell ya but I ain't giving up. A few questions for you guys, how m

SUMS
Thanks for pitching in John. You want to look up the odds just go to John's excellent site.As you can see BobP to get an expected figure for 3's just divide the total games by the odds figure - 50000/60.91 to give 821.Another important figure to note from those I gave is the maximum dry run which even though we are playing 100 games per draw can still go to 30 draws. This can't be worked out mathematically; it should provide solace for anyone that's on a bad run with their predicting.Another poi

Nothing sexist intended.I put his frequency of Posting down to wanting to have the Most Postings Record. With all the congratulations to the current record holder I think you may have spurred him on. I dare not say anthing political and hope others don't too as he obviously enjoys expressing himself if somewhat a little exubrently.GooseDon't be too offended; just moderate y

Pa Match 6 Rolls 800,000 Cash
Quote: Originally posted by goose on February 26, 2004 Quote: Originally posted by Lotto Czar on February 26, 2004 Yep it did and it is. We got ours. Match 6 question: Did anyone else notice that just about every Match 6 ticket has a number repeated? Is there a glitch in the RNG? or the odds that likely? I guess I can sit down and figutre it out, not sure how. A repeat chance is 1 less the chance of zero repeats, just have to figure out what are the chances of zero. Keno is the same way.

ga. evening Candy numbers
Mike, the above example is a great commercial for all the Trackers out there that do separate the 2 games. If you want to have a chance at a straight you gotta keep that data separate. In addition, it's a lot cheaper if your going to trap a particular number group, or Straight, always keeping one eye on the last position and date. At least you don't have to play 2 times a day. Not to mention it screws up the math averages for me. Your question about how far back we would like to consider as

The Perfect Daily Numbers Program...
Quote: Originally posted by BobP on January 28, 2004 The program has to win often enough to play at a profit over time to the extent you could use the profits to say make car payments, or to play large with $5. or $10. on a number expecting to hit for a big payoff within a reasonable number of draws. This does not mean several paths or methods of play, one of which happens to win and you had to pick which to use. There should be two choices, Box and Straight, either one wins often enough to pla

Final Penn. Super 6 Lotto Drawing Tomorrow
I have $20 worth of tickets for the last ride...6/69 really didn't offer better odds than the Powerball's, but PA liked to post fantasy odds for it. To get the true odds, multiply what PA said by 3, comes out to almost 120million to 1, just a fraction better than the powerball 5+1.As for the match 6...2 modes of play...1.. match on a single line OR 2.. match on all 3 lines per ticket. THe brochure they put out today specifies a few key points...A. Drawings will be Tuesday and Friday, an exact re
