Pennsylvania had a raffle on July 9th, 2016. Last year, the PA lottery announced it was going from two raffles per year to four. They held one last Fall, another at New Years 2016, and also on St Patrick's day. I've been watching the PA Lottery's website for an announcement of a Fall 2016 raffle, but so far nothing has been posted. I would think they would have to put something out there soon because the tickets are on sale for two months. There was a PA Lottery raffle thread here at The LP

Illinois IOUs and the Halloween Raffle
If Illinois pays the raffle winners and not those who have won more than $25K - now reduced to more than $600 things might get quite interesting. If they do pay raffle winners and justify by saying raffle winners out of what the raffle took in it will get even more interesting. Since they're promoting the Halloween raffle if they don't plan on paying the winners immediately that's an insult to the players. What do you say? Especially those in Illinois.

About your post about tickets going on sale for the New Years raffle 11 days after the Halloween Raffle ended, here's something I thought about with regard to that; I have to believe that The PA Lottery did NOT make a whimsical decision to offer four raffles per year. I'm confused.... I won a free raffle ticket today when I bought my lottery tickets. Apparently there has been a Raffle promotion going on through the month of October but I didn't learn of it until today. If you buy at least $10 on a jackpot game, you can win a free raffle ticket for an upcoming drawing and you could win $500 with it. I think people may be honestly confused. Normally a raffle name relates to the day it will be drawn, not the date tickets go on sale. It's a real head-scratcher why they would call it the 4th of July raffle. It's like calling a New Year's raffle the Labor Day Raffle if tickets go on sale in September for a January 1 draw date.

Idaho Raffle Adds Instant Win Component
They've been trying for years to get people to buy tickets earlier. This year they're offering a $5,000 prize (awarded in a drawing) to someone who buys a ticket in the first 10 days. And they are giving an instant $1,000 prize to the person who buys each 25,000th ticket. I coulda sworn there used to be a two or four $25,000 prizes, but none this year.
