Working Scratch of tactics thread
So far, I've identified several strategies First, selecting the game: There's the basic expectation where you sum up the products of the prize value and the probability of hitting that prize. This doesn't take into account the volatility of the game such as with Super Set For Life where it's pretty much all on none. There's rating the games by the sum of the log value of the prize value to price ratio divided by the log value of the odds against for that prize. This favours the lower

Listings of Jackpot > odds?
goododds, Jackpot than odds doesn't really happen that often, for one thing. For another, it doesn;t do anything to change the odds, the jackpot is more, that's all. You''re still up against odds of 176 million or 195 million to one (5 + 1) and 20 million to one in many Pick 6 games. You also can't assume you'll be the one to hit. And you can't assume no one else hits if you do. Here's why I repeatd that; Let's say there's a Pick 5 game with odds of 100,000 to one. No one has hit

Why do the folks in the East always seem to win??
if I understand correctly, that since I live in a state that had low numbers of tickets sold compared to the higher population centers of the East, that my chances of winning a JP are basicly slim to none. No the odds of YOU winning are exactly the same as anybody anywhere else. Think of it this way if somebody in your house buys 1 MegaMillion ticket the odds for somebody to win in your house is 1:175,000,000... And if 175,000,000 tickets are sold outside your house, the odds are

MI and OH need new games
The game has worse odds than classic 47 and mega millions, but if the payout changed, I would love to see a game like this. I gave up on mega millions a while back. The odds are simply terrible. It's a big deal if you win 150 dollars. The small prizes are there just to make it look like the game has better odds of winning when it's just the odds of winning a 2, 3 dollar prize. At least classic 47's lowest prize is 5 dollars, than 100, and 2500, and the jackpot. Huge differences in the prizes, an

How to Prove Your Lottery IS Fixed?
I am new. The first thing I picked up on LP was a difference in terms: lotto and lottery... and I still get 'em mixed up. The wife of a kid I grew up with just finished her career in a State lotto/lottery commission admin office. The State began with Power ball, then added P3 later on... I started playing P3 and HotLotto a short time ago and really don't have enough time-in-service to comment in length about fixed games, only opinion. But in conversation with my old pal and his wife regard

A dollar and a dream true for PB and MM?
2/ 175,711, 536, etc.... In lotto this is the same as 1/ 175, 711, 535 The tenth dollar, or tenth line of numbers would not be as shown as in these wonderful lottle hype charts all throughout this thread, but in reality it's: 1/175,711,526. Click. Now I get it. I really don't know how I could have been so stupid for so long. Each ticket reduces the odds by only 1. It makes so much sense, now. If I buy a 2nd ticket the odds drop from 1 in 175,711,536 to 1 in 175,7

A dollar and a dream true for PB and MM?
If you continue that 146/5 13 more times, for a total of 14, then the odds become zero . That's the flaw in it. I'm sorry to repeat myself for the 37th time, but the people who agree with you are the only ones who think that anyone else thinks it works that way. Those of us who understand it have never said any such thing. It's all about proportions. Buying the 5 tickets that Guru has used in his example makes you 5 times more likely to win. Notice how the 5 is repeated. 1 in 145 million
