Ridiculously low non-jackpot prize payouts have me fed up
This is something to think about: I posted this couple of months ago (which is what's below): I don't know if it works the way i think it works i dont' know but if it does work the way i think it works what i said below is something the lottery corporation should think about: https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/139635.htm?q=pumpi76 tab=us rp=search get=660180
I just thought about something...This is how i think this work....If you notice, every lottery retailer gas station that sells lotte

Virginia Lottery Shatters Records for Fiscal Year 2003
The books for fiscal year 2003 are closing at the Virginia Lottery, and the big winner is Virginia`s public schools (kindergarten through twelfth grade). Lottery profits, which are dedicated by constitutional mandate to support public education (K-12) in the Commonwealth, came to more than $375.2 million for the fiscal year that ended at midnight June 30, 2003. Virginia Lottery Executive Director Penelope W. Kyle today presented a ceremonial check in the amount of $375.2 million to Lieutenant Go

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
https://lite.cnn.com/2025/12/13/business/powerball-billion-dollar-jackpot-mega-millions
Sounds to me like the author doesn't know much about how lotteries work or appreciate that the results of just 3 or 4 jackpot runs may not be representative. The headline screams that he's missing the clue that even if PB sales were up (they're not) due to MM's price increase it's still probability that results in billion jackpots.
The average PB jackpot should have a cash value of about $195 million

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Lets face it, you know Mega Millions is now increasing their revenue with the jackpot at $800 million,
For the same advertised jackpot MM's revenue per drawing at $5 per ticket dropped below the revenue per drawing at $2 per ticket a few drawings back. Revenue for Saturday's $800 million jackpot was a hair under 70% of the revenue for the last $800 million jackpot in August '24.
Total revenue since the price increase is about 1% more than for the same time period in 2024, while revenue

Mega Millions confirms ticket price increase to $5, other changes coming April 2025
The changes are very enticing.
I have always added the Megaplier and for me the addition will be from $3 to $5. A $2 increase as opposed to a $3 increase.
I don't know if that makes it feel better but I love the 10X win - 10M sounds good.
The 10M makes it match close to the PB Double Play which is available for $4 in some states.
All in all, I like that the increased ticket price will cause larger-starting jackpots, as well as faster-growing jackpots. There will be no breakeven p

My math = 5,000% increased odds of winning a million or more
First please define what you mean by 5,000% increase in chances to win one $1 million.
For example, if I spend $1 and I have 1 in 10 million chance to win $1 million, then what are the odds when they improve by 5,000%?
100% improvement usually means a double increase. Then does your 5,000% increase mean 50 times better?
Using the above example, does that mean with your system my odds are now 1 in 200,000 of winning $1 million?
You say you love math. Then you should be able to exp

$545 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot rolls a record 37 times
3/2*36=54 so maybe this one still has a way to roll?
The first 22 drawings in this run were on the old W/Sa schedule, with just the last 16 drawings (not including the latest rollover) on the new M/W/Sa schedule. Of course MUSL is hoping that 3 drawings per week will translate to more weekly ticket sales than 2 drawings per week, but I'm not sure that's happening (yet?). If we look at jackpot runs by the number of weeks before they're won this one is now at 16.5 weeks, so we need another 5

Powerball to increase to three drawings a week
By Kate Northrop
This morning, lottery officials announced that the multi-state Powerball lottery game will increase the number of nightly drawings from two to three times a week starting August 2021.
Players will have another shot at that big jackpot prize now that a new Monday drawing is added to the weekly draw schedule.
In addition to the drawings held on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 10:59 EST, Powerball will conduct a drawing on Monday nights at the same time.
Our players r

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hey Skeptic, thanks for that info. I compared it to the 2nd chance entry info you posted Feb 15th for the mid Feb drawing (page 629), which was of course entirely pre-$30 GRC. It seems like the jump is solidly attributable to the $30 GRC release at the end of Feb. I m kinda a data junky so if any readers don t like going through info they can file in the that s interesting but who cares drawer feel free to stop reading now.
So, addressing entries: From the Feb draw, there were 5,697,056 entri

$900 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised just hours after initial estimate
So you think they made an estimate, announced the next jackpot, and then went back to look at the estimate and noticed that they forgot to carry the 2 or something? You know that this is only the second time in the history of the world that they've had to make a sales estimate after nobody wins a jackpot that was already over $600 million, right?
That means they've got almost zero data about how much bigger sales will be as a result of the huge jackpot. The best they can do with the first est
