Florida Fantasy-5 Players
I would think if the prize is getting cut that much and odds of winning still the same it seems the pick 5 might be there better game to play.

Probability of Winning the Powerball Jackpot
I guess they just can't comprehend how odds, not chances are calculated or the fact they only draw one set of numbers and there can only be one winning outcome.

New member introduction...
Hello...I just found this site and had been wondering if something like this existed. I'm looking forward to jumping into the forums and reading the posts. I am in the Central Texas area near Austin and love playing the lottery. I bounce back and forth from playing the scratch offs to playing the drawings. I don't have any real system and understand there is no way to consistently beat the lottery, but would love to hear about the best and most efficient ways of maximizing my odds. I do enjoy pl

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
It's just an assumption of their use of odds against based on their casino craps example where odds are calculated by the number of losing outcomes divided by the number of winning outcomes. I believe their point is regardless of how many tickets one player or a group purchases, from the house or casino perspective, only one ticket can win. And more tickets gives them more ways to lose.
It should be obvious having two or more chances of winning is better than just one.

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
Really???? Is that true???
I was told by almost everyone on this forum (about 95%) that the odds do not change no matter how many tickets you buy. Even if you buy every single ticket, the odds do not change. I will still lose. No matter what. Lose! Lose! Lose!

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
The original post that started the odds discussion offered the situation of buying 10 tickets on my own versus 500 tickets as part of a 50 member group. Whether 2 tickets are bought or 500 tickets are bought, the formula for calculating the odds of winning the jackpot is exactly the same. The discussion was about the formula and not the number of tickets.
Your attempt to deflect was unsuccessful. Sorry, but no graduation jacket for you.

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
Seen to recall, back when we had state games giving two tickets for a dollar, they would give the odds per dollar as half what the odds would be at a dollar per ticket. Suppose they ought to know or paid someone to know. Not the hill I'm planning to die on, just saying.

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
I suppose with the pool idea. I mean we've all heard of pool winners time and time again from the past. But, and but but but, you only need one ticket to win. Buying 2 will not change any of the odds. The odds are the same for each ticket. The jackpot games specifically, do you really think there are that many winners each jackpot game? No, there are not. Maybe at the $2 or $7 prize level, but not at the millionaire level. That's why the jackpots increase by millions, by millions of dollars each
