What's the Purpose of the Printed Time of Purchase on Tickets, If Drawing is 15 min to 1 hr Later?
I'll respect your privacy and not post your calculations publicly, but they're not correct. So as not to further derail this thread, I suggest posting your calculations in the Mathematics forum along with an explanation of what an odds calculator is. Is it an online calculator? They come in many flavors and how they calculate odds depends very much on what the inputs are. I think you may have misunderstood what the inputs should be when you came up with your answer. Anyway, on the math forum you

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Everyone, now that we are able to see all remaining prizes per game on the Fl Lotto site...is it odd that on some games the remaining prizes for like odds are way different? For example, on the $10 $50X the Cash the $10 and $15 prize level have the same odds (1/12) and hence the same # of total prizes at those odds (2,775,810), but as of the moment I write this there's tons more prizes remaining at the $10 level vs the $15 (104,669 vs 75,508). Wouldn't it be expected they are about the same?

california lottery
In the last 2 draws for the California Super Lotto a 5 of 5 winner was in Turlock. Turlock is in Stanislaus County just down the road from Modesto. Where have I heard that name? Modesto The odds are 1.5M to 1 of getting a 5 of 5 winner. Once in Turlock would be phenominal. 2 times in a row???????? Come on. It wouldn't be of much interest if Modesto (a freeway away from Sacramento where the lottery headquarters is located) didn't show up in the win column soooooo beyond the odds. Anyone living

Definitively proving better odds on straight picks
It depends on what you mean by odds improvement because as long as ten balls numbered from 1 to 0 are drawn from 3 or 4 machines, the odds against any one straight combo being drawn are always 999 to 1 and 9999 to 1. In either game the payoffs for one straight combo can be increased by simply betting more on it. The KY pick-3 game pays $600 to $1 so getting a 25% to 30% reduction makes more sense for that game.

Definitively proving better odds on straight picks
What does 25-30% improvement in odds mean? Changing the odds of wining pick 3 from 1 in 1000 to 1 in 700 to 750? I suppose that spending $700 to $750 to win $500 is better than spending $1000 to win $500, but I can't see why anyone would spend money for that sort of improvement . Of course the bigger problem is that predicting the results of a random process isn't any easier than building a perpetual motion machine.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Good info, Jase, will have to keep on eye out for the details to see how prize odds stack up against the current comparable $20 tics, esp Mop poly and GRC. From pic it looks like top prize of $5M is consistent but I also see it says 60 prizes from $100k up to $5m which doesn t sound promising for mid-tier prizes since the current Mop poly and GRC advertise several less. All depends of course on how the under 100k odds are structured. Guess we ll soon see and either way thanks for posting the

Help with wheels question for 5/39 lottery
When I matched all five numbers using a 15 number wheel and only got a one three number match, the wheel wasn't the problem; it was the order I used to enter the numbers into the wheel. Because the 2 if 5 of 39 uses all the numbers, it's the order the numbers placed into the wheel that prevents a player from getting a five number match every drawing (or at least in a few drawings). You're correct about the low chances because the odds against creating the correct order is 5 times higher than
