I fell victim to a similar scam back in 2004. I lost around $4600.00. It was the Nigerian lottery scam for $7 Million, which I foolishly believed to be real. Goes to show that knowledge helps to avoid being a scam victim. What surprised me was the fact they wanted $92K for the wire transfer. Then they changed their fee to $10K. Never again.
