I did all this for years. It looks pretty on paper but does not improve your odds of hitting. Your odds stay exactly 1:1,631,312, they dont change. Jon

The only math is in the probabilities and odds, but some here will tell you adding or subtracting this or that from previous drawings is sound math.

When I was buying two PB tickets on Wednesday, I got two MM tickets, but kept them. Last night one of the MM tickets matched the bonus number so I beat odds of 1 in 24 by winning something. But I didn't win a thing because by breaking even getting back the $2 I spent on the ticket is not a win. The odds against winning something on PB are slightly higher than MM, but actually much better because matching the bonus number pays $4 and though not exactly why people are playing, they are winning
