I'm still trying to figure out why I see people buy a couple few $30 scratchers but they won't buy a Raffle ticket. The odds of winning $4,000,000 on the newest $30 scratcher here are 3,000,000 to one while the odds for the same on this Raffle are TEN TIMES better at 300,000 to one! Did you get your one last ticket that you were talking about earlier?

I think it boils down to this; Not very many players think about or even care about buy in vs. payout. As for me personally, it's the low odds that get me pumped about raffles. IMHO, all lottery games are a sucker bet anyway, so if I'm going to waste my money on a sucker bet I might as well do it on one with win-able odds. G5

Thanks for putting in that perspective of how much you win per $1 spent. In Massachusetts, we have Mass Cash where the jackpot is $100,000 for a $1 play. And the odds for winning Mass Cash are about 1 in 325,000. And the odds for winning the $4,000,000 prize in the Michigan raffle are 1 in 300,000. So that really isn't a big difference. People in Massachusetts play the same line multiple times to win $100,000 multiple times. So I could do that instead which would save me a lot of gas money.

Actually I did. For the first time in a long time my wife gave me some numbers and wanted me to play them for powerball. She got them from a fortune cookie. LOL! The last time I played powerball was months ago. Two bucks is a bit much for those odds and I guarantee you, if she doesn't win anything, it'll be months before I play that stinking game again. If I can't hit stuporcrash with lower odds, I'll never hit powerbull.
