It appears New York Pick 10 has twenty winning numbers per draw, so I think the odds are calculated differently than a standard 10/80 lottery. I wonder how many lottery players would play a lottery where the odds of hitting the jackpot / top prize are 1 in 1,646,492,110,120. If it had a rolling jackpot, it would probably be $10 billion since jackpot wins would be rare...

There are odds for matching two digits in any two digit positions, one number in any position or a specified position regardless of how many bets are necessary.

I'm only suggesting to make it easier for the terminal to generate winning numbers. Instead of 5 from 69 4 from 68 or 3 from 67. Because your not going to guess 5 and the machine isn't going to match 5 without tremendous luck. I even admitted at the end of the post that this doesn't ACTUALLY increase odds but I find myself guessing 2 numbers consistently. So what I'm saying is to maybe employ this strategy if you find yourself accurately guessing 1 or 2 numbers in the combination. Because I feel

Of course odds are not actually increased however assuming You accurately Guess one or more numbers.I would only guess 1 to 2 . Did you know that if you select just one number from the terminal before allowing the computer to randomly generate your odds jump from one in over 11,200,000 to 814,000 .....That is false unless you get lucky....(Please look above )

Both of these games are way out of reach for a dream of winning. In the past I have spent a lot of time trying to guess sets of winning numbers without much success other than getting an occasional 3 white balls, or 2 white balls and the mega or powerball. Now that the odds have really gone up, I just buy a quick pick ticket and pay the extra dollar for the powerplay or megaplier so that if I do get lucky to win something, the payout will be multiplied. Those quick picks give each player the same chance of winning. At 1: 300 million the odds are very slim that you will win. Picking your own numbers does not change the odds against you. I love to see winners and hope that I will be one soon!

If you're talking $10K then you're thinking about covering 5-10k combinations and so far no one has come close to reducing the odds of winning a jackpot to 1:10K.

File size 2620 KB... in printed version should be more than 130 pages... there I consider and suggest three different types of strategies calling them proactive , active and reactive ... in my opinion, the mathematical odds can be narrowed down by about 150 times in average... let's say in case of pick 5 out of 39 from the original odds of 1: 575.757 down to something like 1:3.000 with very high degree of probability that the actually played combination will be within those 3.000... it may vary
