I have never won squat either but the odds on the raffle games are still some of the best you can find. I know they had trouble selling out the St. Pats raffle but i think that is mostly due to the $20 cost and the fact most gamblers want their action fast and don't want to wait a month for a prize drawing.

Not sure what they'd do, but if they still draw as if all 500,000 were sold, then the odds for players remains exactly the same. However, the lottery faces some potential risk running a drawing that way... If distribution of the large prizes is relatively even, the overall payout percentage will still be ~50%. I play the new year PA millionaire raffle every year when I visit there for thanksgiving. It's the best organized raffle that I have ever played and that's why I play it. I'm hoping it comes back this year.

Buying lottery tickets is not like buying raffle tickets from the same terminal. The numbers on the raffle tickets do come from a central computer because all the numbers are unique and there are no duplicates.

Louisiana Lottery Lagniappe Raffle
The Louisiana Lottery is doing monthly raffles until July 1 with a top prize of $50,000. To get a ticket, one has to buy 5 Lotto tickets. The first drawing is April 1 and I bought my tickets this morning. This gives me an excuse to buy more Lotto tickets for the current 1.15 million dollar prize, and gives me a second chance at another prize.

They should contact PA Lottery and figure out how to run an old fashioned raffle but this time do it nationwide. PA Millionaire raffle sells out every single time creating 4 millionaires in each drawing. We'll have to wait and see how it goes.
