If we bet a buck straight on the same three digit number and it's drawn twice in 1000 drawings, we clobbered the odds but break even. And it really doesn't matter how much we bet. I suppose someone could use a betting strategy that increases the size of the bet after every loss, but will be lucky to get even money. The two LP pick-3 top predictors got less than even money by betting less that $700. Does is really make sense to bet $700 to win $700 when the odds are 1000 to 1 against them?
