The big jackpots have been won- What now?
I am one of those people who don't play when the jackpot resets or are extremely small not that $15m or $40m is chump change and something to turn my nose at it but I am not delusional. Factoring in the odds that are just shy of 300 million to 1, playing the lottery every single draw makes absolutely no sense to me.
Our family is fine financially and not dependent on winning a lottery jackpot for our retirement which is not the case with a large percentage of lottery players in a recent poll

One Powerball ticket worth $487 million sold in New Hampshire
It doesn't matter what state a person lives in, whether it's a small or large, the odds are always the same, when a lottery ticket is purchased.

Pick the Jackpot State
I like the idea but the payout would need to be like $25 to $30 to account for the odds and Cali might have some trouble with their special rule.

Buying tickets from different stores does what exactly? It can't increase your odds of winning, l have tried that already.

Pick 3> Odds 1/1000,1/67 , 1/33 is your filter for str8
I believe odds expression is 1:999, being 1 potential positive result against 999 potential negative results, with each result having the same chance of occurring.
You may not play every draw, but every draw you do play still has the same odds with one play, 1:999.

First thing you would buy if you won $415 Million?
Anyone who buys a lottery ticket has dreams and that is all it is a dream. With the outrageous odds of winning why would anyone in their right mind not have a short term dream?
If you buy a lottery ticket and have no desire to win or get eaten by a shark while taking a bath in your tub because the odds are about the same then don't waste your money.
