Retailers
That sucks, especially since you probably need to go all the way to Syracuse to find another lottery retailer. Or you could come down to the mid-Hudson Valley area. I can probably count the number of times I've encountered a terminal that's not working on the fingers of the hand I stuck in a wood chipper.

Retailers
the only thing you can do is lodge a complaint with the ny lottery against this particular store and start buying you tickets elsewhere. this retailer obviously does not care enough about making sales to get his machine fixed. that's his problem, not yours.

Retailers
On a number of occasions I've attempted to play the New York daily numbers, Only to be told by the retailer the machine is down . The fact of the matter is there is pattern to this response. If machine is down that many times the machine would be replaced. Also this has happened with little or no customers in the store. On one such occasion I had the winning number picked but the store owner came back with his''machine is down''.

Florida man robs retailer for seven books of lottery tickets, returns to same store to cash them in
Stealing the books of scratch off tickets was a waste of time because the retailer doesn't usually activate them until they're behind the counter on sale. You can't cash them otherwise.

Wisconsin All Or Nothing $$
The winning ticket was purchased at Webster Shell, a retailer I've purchased tickets at in the past. It's just up the street from where I grew up.

Connecticut Lottery retailer license suspended after illegal slot machines discovered
You can walk into a casino and cash your lottery ticket, but you can't walk into a lottery retailer, cash your lottery ticket and play a slot machine in the back. Probably because the casinos want you to cash your lottery ticket and hit their slots instead.

not sure who could even do step 1 except for the manager of lottery retailer that has a kiosk, and managers of lottery retailers are usually the number one suspects in lottery fraud, so it's probably gonna be hard to get away with this. i think you should stick with tried and true forms of criminal activity, like mugging people downtown at night.
