Circle K asks judge to delay expiration date for $12.8 million Arizona Lottery jackpot amid dispute
This seems pretty simple. Lottery policy is that tickets are non-refundable, and tickets printed but not paid for belong to the retailer. On average, the retailer loses 50% of the face value of those tickets. Someone asked for a ticket, the retailer printed it, the customer didn't have enough money to pay for it, so the ticket belongs to the retailer. You can't seriously argue that one can buy a ticket that legally belongs to the retailer after the drawing which reveals it to be a winnin

Heads up for users of the PA lottery mobile app.
Just got something weird on the PA Lottery app. I bought 2 of the new $100 Blowout scratchers and did them in the car. Neither one appeared to be a winner but I didn't feel like taking them back into the retailer to check. Scanned them on the app when I got home and both are saying TAKE TICKET TO A LOTTERY RETAILER. I've never seen that message before. It's always been Sorry, not a winner or Congratulations you won $X. I scanned an old Pick4 losing ticket to see if it was saying take all tickets

Arizona lottery retailer employee sued after buying $12.8 million ticket knowing it was a winner
Filings say Gawlitza clocked out, removed his company uniform, and bought some of the tickets from another employee for $10, after which he signed the back of the ticket worth $12.8 million. Very Smart on his part. Most likely a policy that you can not purchase lottery tickets while on duty. I am rooting for Robert on this one hope he prevails. If a retailer accepts a returned draw game ticket from a player or generates a draw game ticket refused by the player and the retailer does not
