It was ok when it started out as one raffle here in illinois but now they have 3 in a year. I'm already out aboit 200 hundred bucks this year in raffles so I think my raffle playing days are up.

Two years ago Kentucky ran a winner-take-all 50/50 raffle and one player won $145,000. The tickets were $10 and low sales is probably why they never ran another raffle. Considering the number of raffles tickets they sell in other states with multiple secondary prizes and most have at least four $1 million winners, it's a fair $20 bet IMO. Makes a nice stocking stuffer at Christmas too.

Hope some PA people hit the raffle. I only got 1 ticket and lost. I have never won on the raffle and usualy get 2-3 per drawing and got 10 or so at the Christmas one.

How many raffle tickets to buy?
The latest Michigan $10 raffle has a virtually unlimited number of tickets. How many tickets do you buy? If you buy one, and it was going to win, and then buy another one and change the number of tickets in the pool so that you then lose then you have wasted your money. So how many tickets do you buy when the number of tickets is virtually unlimited? The question is easier when the number of tickets is limited but we are talking the latest Michigan raffle here.

I would be happy if they let the status quo continue and then to top that they would introduce a national raffle that would be drawn on the 1st of every month that guarantees a prize of $1M to 50 winners. Cash and not an annuity! Now that would be a real block buster. The tickets on that raffle should cost no more than $10. They would break-even by selling the first 5M tickets.

Yeah a raffle that is held maybe Dec 24 where 200 people across the country would win $1,000,000 each. Of course they'd have to print limited tickets for it to be a raffle. hmmm we know majority of the winners would be from NY, California and Kansas lol

Idaho did that a year or 2 ago, it was called Winner Take All or something like that. It wasn't the Holiday raffle though, they did an extra one earlier in the year. I only have 1 ticket for this year's raffle. That's all I'm willing to spend on a 1 in 250,000 chance at a million bucks. Good luck to you in ElGordo. Hope you win.

No one at my work even knows about this raffle. I was talking about it today. They all play the lottery too. Even when I buy the raffle tickets the cashier seems to not know what I'm talking about. Maybe this week I will buy a few more tickets.
