Like CT said, the odds are just so much better hitting 5+0 than the jackpot, and 5 million works real well. @ 18,492,204 to 1 odds being so much better .

We have random drawings that follow probability (plus or minus standard deviation) so maybe we should be looking for something else. That was my point, I have no idea of what that something else is. I've kept my eye on Ohio Classic Lotto because it's the only game I've ever come within one number of hitting the jackpot but its odds of 1:54 to match3 for $2 aren't as attractive as MM odds of 1:15 of matching 0+1 for $1.
