S.C. lottery sales top $1 billion mark for first time
I am very pleased to know that I have contributed to this record, all while receiving less than $100.00 return on investment in the 2006 fiscal year.
Woo Hoo !!!

Playing Overseas / No taxes?
There are lots of online casinos based outside the USA. I understand that casino winners have to pay taxes on their winnings if your playing in the USA . But I heard if you are living in the USA and your playing at an overseas casino that you do not have to report your winnings to the IRS. You are playing overseas over the internet, so if you win, US tax laws dont apply in this case. Because the casino thats paying you is overseas, so the US tax law does not apply to you. Sounds too good

The Solution t This Gas Extortion
Quote: Originally posted by LOTTOMIKE on May 6, 2006the day could come when we run out of oil and then we will be riding horses again.......
The Amish will really be laughing at us that day!!
An excerpt such as, "With gas prices at an all-time high, a record number of civilians will be converting to Amish...," sounds like something that could go in MAD magazine lol.

Thief can't resist lure of lottery tickets
This story is yet another example of why you may not want to name your children after yourself.
For the record, the reason you read similar stories week after week is that stupid people generally don't... read. So very few low-brow crooks would get concepts like time stamping, ticket block voiding and other authentication/security measures.
Set your bookmarks, there'll be another story like it here in the future.

Mega Draw
We manually check out tickets first most times it takes 2 of us 2 hours, we do miss some small wins but after all we do look for a big win, we have a paper set up to record our results we are within $50.00 most of the times and within 10 to 20 free plays, then its off to the clerk, I live in a very small town so I go when its not busy and then ot takes about a hour or so to confirm everything, Usually we have 3 or 4 people filling in tickets we need to fill in 1000 boards then the other 2000 boa

Canada's Super 7
I'm sure that since I've decided to get tickets if it rolls on the 28th that it won't roll.
Record pot was 37.8 million in May 2002 and was won by four tickets. It's only $66 to go to Victoria so I'm going if it can hit 35M.
Current jackpot is $30M CAN or $26.6M US. 7/49. 3 plays for $2CN.

S.C. may ban illegal aliens from claiming lottery prizes
If you are wanted for murder or have any kind of warrant out for you for illegal activity and you cashed in your lottery winning ticket you would be arrested on the spot and sent to jail;
that is the one thing that KILLS me ... now I have never had a record nor been wanted, but why is it that we can buy a new car or buy a house or buy food to eat for that matter and noone is the wiser of your personal business BUT oh hell win the lotto and they need to know what color your damn underwear

Current Jackpot Runs #2
Euromillions won't hit 300 due to the 12 rollover rule but still has the record for the largest jackpot. Euromillions just has a cash jackpot that's tax-free. Even not factoring tax in it has a higher jackpot but the odds are far lower.
I doubt Euromillions will even break 100 million pounds for the rest of the year. My bet would be on Powerball but not in this current run. Nothing is going to break 300 on this run. Mega may have to wait for 2007 to break 300.
