The Lottery Should Pay More Than 50% In Prizes To Lottery Players.
It is no longer about insane odds of winning. Tickets cost and Big Payback Rates in prizes is the new business.

Raffles (Not Lottery Sponsored)
So sorry HoLeeKau, I know what a disappointment it is. Two years ago I bought a house raffle ticket from a college....low odds and I didnt win anything either. $100 is just too much to spend even with the good odds and the money goes to the college. Hope you win next year if you choose to try again.

Cash 4Life
Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 22 Million. Its biggest selling point is the Instant Scratch Off name that it has.

Would You Play This MUSL?
No, the odds are too small, it would get fleeced and go bankrupt in no time. You'd never see large jackpots. Bump the odds to at least 1 : 999,999,999,999 and it might be worthwhile.

Illinois Lucky Day Lotto goes to 45 balls effective 07/13/2014.
Effective 07/13/14, IL Lucky Day Lotto goes from 39 balls to 45 balls. Still $1.00 with some prize increases like 4 of 5 going from $100.00 to $200.00. It will just have higher odds of winning. It seems like they can't leave well enough alone. It's either higher cost per ticket or higher odds of winning. All they are looking for is ways to make more money for themselves (bottom line profit). What they don't realalize is that more more people cannot afford playing their little games of bottom lin

According to my retailer there is a new national lottery game coming
Eh, mixed. I like that they are going to have 10s to 100s (their words) of millionaires when the jackpot gets hit. But with their 2 current jackpot games there is no reason they can't do the same thing by tweaking the odds structure and reserve pool a bit. I tend to look past potential winners and see the math. For starters, the payout is only going to be about 54%. At $5 a pop I would expect more than that. Overall odds of 1 in 10 on a $5 game? I can get better odds on a $1 scratch-off. The cap

Should winning scratch offs only be more than the ticket cost?
Those lower prizes are what the lottery use to increase your odds of winning. If they raised the starting prizes they would just make the odds worse. I don't really pay attention to the prizes, but I would never play a ticket with entry prize lower than ticket cost.
